About this trip

Join Tatiana Gutierrez Galeano from January 29 - February 2, 2027, for BLOOM, a four night and five day immersive retreat in the breathtaking coastal paradise of Playa Mizata, El Salvador.

We all need moments throughout the year to intentionally take a sacred pause, creating space to receive, deeply reconnect, and return to the vibrant sense of aliveness that lives within us all. And when we slow down, we're reminded of what truly matters.

Nestled between lush mountains and the vast Pacific Ocean, Bloom is a devotional opportunity to return to yourself. Surrounded by a rich ecosystem where jungle covered hills meet volcanic coastline, you'll be immersed in the rhythms of nature creating space to soften, expand, play, rest, and reconnect with the parts of yourself ready to bloom.

Throughout our time together, we'll devote ourselves to daily prana practices designed to nourish the soul and awaken a deeper sense of aliveness. Mornings will begin with yoga, meditation, pranayama, and intentional rituals before unfolding into experiences that balance both adventure and restoration.

Simply imagine walking barefoot through the sand to your morning shala as the sound of the ocean greets the day beside you. Nourishing your body with vibrant, locally prepared meals. Spending your afternoons exploring waterfalls, horseback riding along the coastline, embracing the healing benefits of sauna and cold plunge therapy, or simply resting by the ocean with nowhere else to be.

One of our most memorable adventures will take us beyond the resort and into the lush landscapes of El Salvador for a breathtaking waterfall hike. Together, we'll journey through nature, taking in panoramic views, hidden trails, and cascading waterfalls before cooling off in crystal-clear natural pools. Whether you choose to swim beneath the falls or simply soak in the beauty of the surroundings, this experience offers a powerful reminder of nature's capacity to restore, inspire, and awaken wonder. Don't forget your hiking shoes and swimsuit, this is an adventure you won't want to miss.

Together we'll also experience the sacred tradition of a Temazcal ceremony, guided by a local healer. Often referred to as the "womb of the earth," the Temazcal is a traditional sweat lodge experience rooted in Indigenous wisdom and ritual. Through heat, prayer, breath, and intention, participants are invited into a profound process of release, reflection, and renewal. This deeply transformative ceremony supports physical detoxification while creating space for emotional, energetic, and spiritual cleansing to reconnect with yourself on the deepest level.

Beyond the excursions and experiences, Bloom is ultimately about connection. Connection to yourself, to nature, and to a community of like-hearted individuals walking their own unique paths. There will be space for meaningful conversations, spontaneous moments of joy, laughter, reflection, and the kind of genuine connection that often becomes one of the most memorable parts of the journey.

Whether you're seeking expansion, connection, adventure, rest, or simply a deeper sense of aliveness, Bloom is a space to meet yourself exactly where you are and step fully into your next season of life.

As a special gift, one of our retreat days falls on my birthday, making this experience special to me. I can't imagine a more beautiful way to celebrate than surrounded by community, nature, medicine, and the magic of this entire shared experience.

I cannot wait to welcome you to El Salvador and share this unforgettable journey together.

ACTIVITY LEVEL

We consider BLOOM to be an Activity Level 3–4 (Moderate to Active) retreat.

This experience includes daily movement practices, Temazcal Ceremony experience, Contrast Therapy, and a Waterfall hike. Participants should feel comfortable walking for extended periods during the hike excursion, navigating uneven terrain, and participating in moderate physical activity.

That said, this retreat is designed to honor individual choice and personal pace. Participation in activities is always optional, and there will be plenty of opportunities for rest, relaxation, and self-guided exploration throughout the experience.

Activity Level 1: Easy

Short Walks and minimal exertion

Activity Level 2: Relaxed

Short walks, gentle inclines, and light activity for a few hours at a time.

Activity Level 3: Moderate

Longer walks and activities suited for those who maintain a semi active lifestyle. Participants should be comfortable with half days of exploration and moderate movement.

Activity Level 4: Active

Longer hikes, steeper inclines, and several hours of sustained activity with breaks. Participants should enjoy an active lifestyle and be comfortable engaging in outdoor adventures.

Activity Level 5: Challenging

Vigorous outdoor activities requiring strong endurance and prior experience with hiking or adventure-based excursions.

Bloom falls between Levels 3 and 4. While our waterfall excursion leans toward the active side, the overall retreat experience offers a balanced blend of movement, restoration, adventure, and spaciousness.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO I NEED TO BE AN EXPERT IN YOGA OR MEDITATION?

Absolutely not. Our retreats are open to all experience levels. Whether you're brand new or have been practicing for years, you'll find a place here. There are no gold stars, no perfect poses, and no expectations, just a group of people showing up, being present, and doing their best.

IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL TO EL SALVADOR?

Yes. Safety is always our top priority. In recent years, El Salvador has become one of the most talked-about emerging travel destinations in the Americas, attracting visitors from around the world for its breathtaking coastline, surf culture, vibrant local communities, and natural beauty.

For your comfort and peace of mind, all retreat guests will be picked up directly from San Salvador International Airport (SAL) and transported together via a pre-arranged private shuttle to our retreat home in Playa Mizata.

Our retreat venue also offers 24/7 on-site security, allowing you to fully relax into the experience.

In 2024, The New York Times included El Salvador in its prestigious "52 Places to Go" list, highlighting the country's growing tourism scene, stunning landscapes, and cultural experiences.

Most importantly, we would never host a retreat somewhere I didn't feel completely confident bringing our own friends and family.
