About your trip

The world could use a great amount of healing. Come activate your inner healer by learning, sensing and practicing the art of giving and receiving touch, while nourishing your multidimensional being through therapeutic connection.

Traverse the grand landscape of somatic awareness with intentional movement, conscious breathwork, expressive dance and grounding meditation. Refine and harmonize your nervous system through partner yoga, contact improvisation and Thai massage, and practice staying fully yourself while exploring connection - Super important skills for the times we live in!

Join us for 4 days and 3 nights of embodied connection at Skytemple! Surrounded by lush green hillsides and an incredible oak forest in the valley below, Skytemple was built on a mountain top nearly 2,000 ft in altitude. The clean air and a lack of light pollution allow for an incredible night skies with thousands of stars, constellations and the milkyway!

Enjoy free time journaling, sweating in the steam room, soaking in the pool and hot tub, or strolling along beautiful forest trails. Chef Leela Maya will be serving delicious organic and vegetarian meals to nourish our bellies, plus raw desserts and delights for our evening healers jams and pool party. And internationally known and Bay area based DJ Steven Melter will be providing an evening of Ecstatic Dance!

We are very excited to bring our collective knowledge and experience to this retreat designed for any skill level. Please bring your curiosity and openness to serve the highest healing potential. You will leave feeling refreshed, revitalized and reconnected with yourself and the collective yum!

James Kapicka - Facilitator

James Kapicka (E-RYT 200 / RYT 500) is a Somatic-based movement facilitator, Thai massage practitioner and stand-up comic with a passion for bringing people together to play, laugh and connect. He intertwines intuitive movement with the therapeutic power of touch to guide his students on a journey of self-discovery and interpersonal connection.

James infuses his classes with a unique blend of humor and wit, creating a lighthearted atmosphere and an ease in stepping out of one's comfort zone. His approach promotes curiosity, creative play and authentic expression, and allows for a deeply resonant relationship with self and others.

Steven Melter - Ecstatic Dance DJ

Steven Melter is a bass forward explorer of the sonic realms here to guide you on a journey through the dance dimensions. Playing frequent ecstatic dances in Golden Gate Park for Ecstaturday and around the bay area for years, he has also been seen playing internationally, bringing the west coast ecstatic vibes around the world. His music focuses on the dancer, helping to unlock solo and contact dance moves that are otherwise hard to access. Through a conversation with the dancefloor, he can be heard playing classical, ambient, funk, soul, trap, hip hop, house, deep house, all wrapped up with a layer of medicine music. He is not here to play music- he is here to help you play WITH the music. See you out on the dance floor.

Leela Maya - Organic, Vegetarian Chef

Leela Maya started her journey as a raw vegan dessert chef in 2007 during the early days of Cafe Gratitude where it first began in San Francisco and Marin County. It was working there that she discovered the power of intention, community, & how truly nourishing food felt like sensual kitchen witch craft for her soul. It was love at first bite.

Leela is delighted to be sharing her culinary creations as sacred service to the vitality, health, and well being of all.  She believes that love, joy, connection, and play are key ingredients to a healthy happy life. Blessed Be and Bon Appétit!
