  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation with Traveling Soul Tours. Full payment must be completed no later than 90 days prior to your scheduled tour start date. Reservations are only considered fully confirmed once all required payments have been received.

  • Cancellations made more than 90 days before the tour start date are eligible for a refund of up to 50% of the total amount paid, excluding the initial deposit. Cancellations made within 90 days of the tour start date are non-refundable.

  • Tours are priced based on a group of four (4) participants and double occupancy (two guests per room). Single occupancy accommodations and additional participants can be arranged upon request and may incur additional charges.

  • To allow for a more flexible and personalized travel experience, tour pricing typically does not include airfare, entrance fees to attractions, meals (unless explicitly stated in the itinerary), or gratuities.

  • All pricing, accommodations, and itinerary details are subject to availability and may change without notice until the tour deposit has been received and confirmed.

  • We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment. Coverage options such as Travel Guard or Trawick are available through WeTravel, our booking platform.

Today, enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

After, you will embark at on a morning walking tour (10:30 AM) of the historic city of Glasgow. Included in the tour will be the City Chambers Halls and Merchant City.

Afterwards you can relax and enjoy the Glasgow nightlife.

Day 2, May 19th

Glasgow City

Our day begins with a visit to the majestic Glasgow Cathedral, an architectural marvel founded in the 12th century, standing as the oldest cathedral on Scotland's mainland and one of the few to survive the reformation unscathed.

Nestled just behind the cathedral is the Necropolis, a sprawling Victorian cemetery adorned with over 3,500 monuments, inviting us to uncover its hidden gems.

As the day progresses, we embark on a guided driving tour, showcasing Glasgow's rich tapestry, followed by an optional visit to the esteemed Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, a treasure trove of art and history.

Day 3, May 20th

Glasgow to The Borders

This morning, we bid farewell to Glasgow and journey along the stunning West Coast of Scotland. Our first stop is Alloway, the birthplace of Robert Burns, Scotland's most celebrated poet, offering a look into his life and legacy.

From there, we venture down the picturesque Ayrshire coast, culminating in a visit to the majestic Culzean Castle. Set atop cliffs with breathtaking views of the sea, this castle and its spectacular gardens promise a fantastic experience.

Our day's adventure concludes as we make our way to the charming market town of Dumfries, nestled on the Scottish-English border. Here, we'll settle in for the evening, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of this historic region.

Day 4, May 21st

The Borders to The Lakes District

Today, we head into the heart of Northern England, beginning with the historic city of Carlisle. With its roots in a Roman settlement and its critical role as a military bastion due to its proximity to Scotland (just 8 miles away), Carlisle brims with stories of the past. We'll explore Carlisle Castle, a historic fortress founded in 1092, notably serving as the prison for Mary Queen of Scots.

Our adventure then leads us south to the Lake District, where we will spend the next two nights in Keswick. This picturesque lakeside market town is nestled amidst beautiful mountains, offering a serene backdrop for our stay.

The Lake District

Our day unfolds with a captivating exploration of the Lake District, a region celebrated for its beauty and diverse landscapes that encompass everything from serene lakes and rugged coasts to lush farmlands, ancient woodlands, and picturesque villages.

We'll immerse ourselves in the distinct character of each of

the thirteen valleys, celebrated for their unique landforms and deep cultural heritage. Highlights include the storied lands of Beatrix Potter, the majestic Lake Windermere, and several idyllic villages that define this area's charm.

We'll wrap up our day with a visit to the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle, a prehistoric marvel, before returning to Keswick.

Yorkshire Dales to York

This morning, we set out for Grassington, a charming market town renowned for its cobbled streets and quaint market square, flanked by welcoming shops and cozy cafes. Fans will recognize it as the backdrop for Darrowby in ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. Lunch will be at the Devonshire Arms, known to viewers as the Drovers Inn from the TV series.

Our journey continues to Skipton, a lovely market town of note, where we'll explore the historic Skipton Castle. This fortress, over 900 years old, stands as one of England's most well-preserved medieval castles.

Our day concludes as we head to York, the ancient walled city where you will stay for the next three nights.

Day 7, May 24th

Exploring York

Over the next two days, we'll explore York, a city with a rich tapestry of history spanning over 2,000 years, from its foundation by the Romans to its occupation by the Vikings.

Our York discovery begins with a guided bus tour, featuring stops at the majestic York Minster Cathedral and the ancient City Walls.

Later, we'll meander through the Shambles, a 14th-century street brimming with charming shops and cafes.

Next, we're off to Castle Howard in the Howardian Hills, a region noted for its outstanding natural beauty. There, we immerse ourselves in the splendor of one of Britain’s most exquisite stately homes, marveling at its stunning architecture and lavish interiors. The surrounding parkland and gardens, adorned with statues, temples, lakes, and fountains, provide breathtaking views of the countryside.

Exploring York

Our journey continues with a fascinating visit to Clifford’s Tower, York Castle's striking remnant, now boasting a dramatic roof deck and captivating history exhibits. This iconic landmark offers unrivaled views over the ancient city and insights into its medieval significance. Experience the tower's newly accessible features, which vividly recount its storied past, including the infamous execution of Roger de Clifford.

As our exploration of York's deep-rooted heritage draws to a close, the afternoon offers a last opportunity to wander through the city and soak up its compelling history.

York to Hexham

Today, we head north to the Roman Vindolanda Fort & Museum, offering an authentic glimpse into ancient history. This extraordinary site encompasses a Roman fort and village established around 85 AD, alongside a museum rich with exceptionally preserved artifacts—a testament to Roman Britain.

Our exploration continues to the iconic Hadrian's Wall, a monumental 73-mile-long fortification built in AD 122 by Emperor Hadrian's decree. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it served as a formidable barrier against Pictish tribes.

We conclude our day in Hexham, a picturesque riverside market town with a significant historical legacy.

Day 10, May 27th

Hexham to Glasgow

Our day begins at historic Bamburgh Castle, a fortress that has stood majestically above the Northumberland coastline for over 1,400 years and is one of the largest inhabited castles in the country. Recently, it has served as a filming location for the Viking TV series 'The Last Kingdom'.

Next, our journey takes us to Lindisfarne, also known as Holy Island, where Saint Aidan founded a monastery in 635 AD, igniting the spread of Christianity. The island's dramatic history includes the pivotal Viking raid of 793, marking the onset of the Viking Age in Europe. We will explore the ruins of the Priory and Lindisfarne Castle, immersing ourselves in their ancient stories.

This evening, we head back to Glasgow for a farewell dinner before settling into our accommodations to prepare for morning departures.
