Later, we'll meander through the Shambles, a 14th-century street brimmingwith charming shops and cafes. Next, we're off to Castle Howard in the Howardian Hills, a region noted for its outstanding natural beauty. Our exploration continues to the iconic Hadrian's Wall, a monumental 73-mile-long fortification built in AD 122 by Emperor Hadrian's decree. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it served as a formidable barrier against Pictish tribes.
