Calling all Barbie Jiu Jiteiras! Wait no longer for your Barbie Dreams to come true.  Grappling Getaways is hosting a Boutique Barbie-Themed Jiu Jitsu Camp in Scottdale, AZ this February! Our accommodations are, of course, a Barbie-Themed House decorated with all of the Barbie drip one could dream to create photo ops to die for.  Your IG will be aglow with action and engagement. Treat yourself to this opportunity to escape the colder weather and find refuge in that refreshing Arizona sun.   

This camp WILL sell out and is limited to 12 campers.  For training, however, we will accept up to 50 women for the training portions. This is a Female ONLY Camp.  Feb. 17-Feb. 20th in Scottdale, AZ.  The Training portion will take place at ARES John Cabay's gym.  Address: 4030 East Thunderbird Rd., Phoenix, AZ.

What can you expect? 

High Level Jiu Jitsu Instruction from World Class Competitors (Instructors TBA) Equal sessions of Gi and No Gi.  Open Mats are encouraged, yet not required.

Please Note: There will be options for just the training (Which includes only the training) as well as to add an additional day on for Sedona.  In Sedona, we will participate in the Pink Jeep Tours, Meditative Healing Rituals, shopping and dine at the World-Famous Mariposa Restaurant.

We strongly advise flying in on Friday evening. You will have to find your own accommodations and travel to the Barbie House.  We encourage people to carpool and discuss this in advance in our group chats and group pages. Everyone is always super helpful! 

 ***Depending upon arrivals, camp staff may be available to pick up, but we please ask that you be prepared to UBER to your destination. Once at camp, we will provide everyone with transport to all trainings, activities and excursions. 

Please note that at this time, all deposits are non-refundable after 24 hours.  Please DO NOT register until you are sure you will,and can, attend.  All Payments are due IN FULL by January 1st. 

We understand that emergencies, sickness, etc happen.  We always try to be flexible with our campers.  In the event of something coming up, please contact us immediately so that we can explore options together to ensure the best possible scenario for all parties. 

Policies: 

Deposits are non-refundable. No exceptions

After 11/1 - 50% of payment above deposit can be refunded. 

After 12/1   25% of payment above deposit can be refunded. 

After 1/1/24- no refund. 

Sleeping Arrangements: 

This is a shared house.  At our camps our campers often share beds.  If you require your own bed you can choose this as an option at check out.  We just want you to be aware that you may be sharing a bed.  You also may bring your own sleeping bag, blowup mattress or grab a couch if you are completely averse to this.  

Food: 

We will be eating out 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinner in order to experience the local food (Scottsdale is known for its food scene).  The remainder of the meals will be included in the camp cost.  There will be light protein packed breakfasts, light lunches and a dinner menu will be released with the finalized camp itinerary in January.  Various snacks will be available at all times as well as coffee.
