About this trip

The Brazil Vibes: Florianópolis trip with NomaTribe is a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant spirit of Floripa — where tropical island life meets remote work freedom.

Known for its mix of surf culture, lush nature, and easy-going locals, Floripa captures the true essence of the Brazilian lifestyle. Mornings begin with ocean views and strong coffee, days balance productive coworking and sun-soaked breaks, and weekends turn into mini adventures—hiking coastal trails, discovering hidden beaches, or joining the locals for samba nights by the sea.

Overview

This three-week journey, from Saturday, February 27 to March 20 begins and ends in Florianópolis, one of Brazil’s most beloved islands—connected to the mainland but with the charm of a tropical paradise.

Closest airport: Hercílio Luz International Airport (FLN)

Our House

Our home is located in Barra da Lagoa, a friendly beach town surrounded by trails, canals, and ocean breeze.

The house features a bright open kitchen, churrasqueira (Brazilian BBQ), and a sunny dining area. You’ll find plenty of coworking spots, a rooftop terrace perfect for golden hour, and cozy corners to recharge or connect with others.

Every detail of the house is designed to make you feel at home — relaxed, inspired, and surrounded by nature.

Please note: Our home is also shared with two adorable rescue dogs, Sorriso and Guará — they’re very friendly and always happy to meet new guest

Arrival & Weekend 1 image

Arrival to Floripa

🔷 Saturday, February 27 : Arrival day! Check-in, start exploring and end the day with a Welcome Dinner to get to know the group.

🔷 Sunday, February 28: We’ll start the day with a traditional Brazilian breakfast before heading out for a surf class!

The idea is to give everyone a chance to try it out, have some fun, and get a feel for surfing. And if you love it (or simply want more practice!), you’ll have plenty of opportunities to keep surfing throughout the trip.

Weekend 2

Weekend 2 image

Lagoa do Leste

🔹 Saturday, March 6: Lagoa do Leste:  We’ll explore one of Floripa’s hidden gems, hiking through lush rainforest and along scenic trails to reach the secluded Lagoinha do Leste beach. The hike takes around 1–1.5 hours each way, depending on the pace, with time to enjoy the beach before heading back for a well-deserved lunch in Pântano do Sul.

🔹 Sunday, March 7: A Chiller Morning We’ll slow things down this morning and explore another side of Floripa. There are so many beaches, little neighborhoods, and corners of the island to discover, so we’ll pick a spot depending on the vibe and make the most of a slower morning by the sea.

March 8-March 12
