About this trip

Join us for a deeply relaxing and transformative small-group retreat experience full of Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation on the famous Greek island of Mykonos, staying on a stunning sea view villa with private pool overlooking the Aegean Sea!

THE RETREAT

The retreat starts on Thursday, September 19th afternoon and runs until Monday, September 23th noon time.

There will be two daily 2-hours’ practices, instructed in English.

Our morning sessions will be waking up to the glorious Greek sun where we will be practicing on the terrace by the infinity pool overlooking the Aegean Sea. Our practices will be based on deep classic Hatha Yoga style including pranayama and mindfulness meditation with a deep relaxation at the end.

Our evening sessions will be more chilled out preparing you for an evening of peace and tranquility. Evening style will alternate between Sunset Yoga and Meditation, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra taking in the lunar energy.

The retreat is for everyone; from beginners to the more advanced students. Athina has many years’ experience and will accommodate you based on where your level of practice is at the moment.

In between the practices there will be ample free time to relax by the swimming pool or to the nearby Agrari beach. You will have time to book and enjoy personal Thai Yoga Massage or Reiki sessions with Athina.

During your stay you will also have the option to book a car or a bike to do some island sightseeing or even book personalized experiences, like visiting the Ancient Greek island of Delos or visiting the local organic dairy farm and immerse to the local island life.

THE VILLA

The villa is elegant and spacious, set in a privileged wind-sheltered location above the marvelous golden sand Agrari Beach with magnificent views of the Aegean Sea. Although located just 10 minutes by car from town, the property is offering tranquility, privacy and stunning scenery.

Agrari Beach, with its intimate charm and crystal clear water, is just a quick 10 min walk downhill.

The villa's charming interior, schemed in light blue, white and ochre, could be described as “beach house style” combining traditional elements of Cycladic architecture with provincial selected details.

The outdoor spaces, surrounded by rocky hills and Mediterranean herbs, embrace the true spirit of summer life as they allow living each moment of the day in total comfort and relaxation.

An array of two-level sitting areas and one distinct dining/lounge pergola-shaded area, paired with a stone-sculpted dining table and a traditional wood fire BBQ, is offering guests a perfect entertaining area.

An elegant infinity pool surrounded by a very spacious sun deck with comfortable summer furniture dominates the villa’s terrace well accompanied by a covered pergola providing shading.

TESTIMONIALS

Hara, 44

Athina is a great retreat organizer and yoga teacher. She has a calm and authentic way of being, showing care for every member of the group, eager to assist with poses when required and to help us connect with the practice always respecting our own capabilities and needs.

The location was beautiful, the house we stayed in was great! Excellent choices!

Athina thank you so much for the taking care of us!

Nikolas, 33

I've been practicing with Athina 3 years now and this year I decided to join her summer retreat.

The experience was more than perfect. It was exactly what I needed!

Don’t miss it!

Christiana, 37

I have been regularly practicing yoga with Athina since September 2015 and I have been following her on her summer retreats. Athina is a teacher of unique calmness, patience and faith believing both in the practice and in the human potential. She is loving and caring, but also disciplined and focused when needed.

Athina’s style of teaching in combination with the extremely powerful landscape made me leave the island fully energized, alert and ready to be in the present moment for the months to follow.
