After that, continue your journey to Saranda through the incredible Albanian Riviera. The Albanian Riviera skirts the Ionian Sea, begins south of the Llogara National Park, continues along the coast through the villages of Borsh, Himara, Qeparo and ends in Lukove. The region is a major destination for nightlife, ecotourism and elite retreat in Albania. It includes traditional Mediterranean villages, ancient castles, Orthodox churches, secluded turquoise beaches, mountain passes, seaside canyons, coves, free rivers, underwater wildlife, caves and orange groves, lemon groves and the olive groves. In the afternoon, drive to the National Park Butrint.

Road to the beautiful National Park Butrint. Consisting of numerous marshy areas and two lakes, the park is home to a large number of endangered species but also a magnificent archaeological site, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled in the heart of lush vegetation, the ancient city has preserved the traces of many civilisations that have succeeded (vestiges of a Roman aqueduct, Byzantine church, baths, baptistry ...). Butrint, the former Buthrotum, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in southwestern Albania. Inhabited since prehistoric times, Butrint was the site of a Greek colony, a Roman city and a bishopric. The current archaeological site is a deposit of ruins representing each period of the development of the city. The national park includes a great diversity of natural and semi-natural resources and artificial habitats, such as fresh water marshes, reed beds, Mediterranean  forests, arable land and terraces of fruit trees, as well as from coastal waters to rocky and sandy waters. In the morning, departure to Gjirokastra, named "Stone City", and some of the main tourist attractions are the old houses built of stone to look like small castles, and cobble stone streets. During your stay, you can visit the Ethnographic Museum, located in the house where the former communist dictator Enver Hoxha was born. Road to the museum town of Gjirokastra, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discovery of the old town with a well-preserved Ottoman past and visit of its citadel against the mountain. We will try to organise a lunch in a local family and have the opportunity to meet locals and enjoy traditional Albanian homemade dishes. Arrival in the afternoon at Berat, UNSECO site "City of miles windows". Antipatrea, 2413 year sold, is under the protection of UNESCO. Berat is a treasure trove of Albanian history and culture and bears witness to the country's tradition of religion harmony. The three main districts of the old town are Mangalemi, Gorica and Kala, where the castle itself is located and made unique by the fact that people continue to live inside it. The monumental post-Byzantine cathedral of Shen Maria (St. Mary's) now houses a museum of the works of the famous icon craftsman of the sixteenth century: Onufri and his son Nikola. More than 100 icons are exhibited and also include works by other artists such as Joan Çetiri, Onufer Qiprioti and many anonymous painters. The occupation of the Ottomans has left its mark.
