Brooklyn Neighborhood Tour

The tour  includes a walking portion through Brooklyn Heights and its history. There we’ll visit the Hotel St. George where The Godfather was filmed, point out the beautiful brownstone architecture, visit the Promenade overlooking Manhattan, see the homes of the authors Truman Capote and Norman Mailer, see the house from the movie Moonstruck and more. Please note that this is a leisurely 40–45-minute stroll through the neighborhood, so folks should be informed of that and advised to wear comfortable walking shoes. Then it’s over to Juniors for their sit-down lunch. After lunch, it’s back onto the bus as we continue the tour up Flatbush Avenue past the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Barclays Center where the Brooklyn Nets play basketball, Grand Army Plaza, the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the original location of Ebbets Field where the Brooklyn Dodgers played. Then we’ll visit the beautiful residential neighborhoods of Park Slope and Windsor Terrace before we stop at Green-Wood Cemetery. Once there, we’ll get off the bus for a short, 20 – 25-minute walking tour of the cemetery’s grounds and mausoleums. Movie locations on this tour include The Godfather, Moonstruck, As Good as It Gets, Dog Day Afternoon and more.

Package includes motor coach transportation, driver’s gratuity, lunch at Junior’s, guided bus tour with some stops and walking and tour escort.

Bus departs Garden State Parkway, Forked River Rest Area 8:30 AM, Target Brick 8:50 AM, Exit 98 Park and Ride 9 AM  approximate 5:30 PM return $126
