Please join Black Bourbon Society for its 3rd Annual Brown Derby Weekend!

This exclusively curated 3-day experience features behind-the-scenes tours, exclusive whiskey tastings and a derby themed Opening Night at Churchill Downs. The weekend will conclude with a farewell brunch and an optional bottle hunting trip to Westport Whiskey & Wine.

Get ready to experience Bourbon Country with BBS!
Be sure to bring a suitcase large enough to take home all of your bourbon finds! Cheers!

Exclusive Tours
We are excited to be hosted by Heaven Hill Distillery! These tours are more than your generic tour. They are behind the scenes experiences with lots of amazing surprises.
Opening Night Tickets
Your trip includes admission to Opening Night at Churchill Downs in a reserved box section.
Hotel Accommodations
2 nights at the brand new Autograph Collection Hotel Distil. (Event only package does not include hotel stay).
Select Meals
Your registration includes a welcome dinner at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, a grab & go breakfast on Saturday Morning, lunch at Heaven Hill Distillery, and a farewell brunch on Sunday.
Luxury Transportation
All transportation to distilleries and to Churchill Downs will be provided on a luxury bus.
Welcome Cocktail & Gift
Welcome cocktails and gifts from BBS, Louisville Tourism, Marriott Bonvoy and Heaven Hill Distillery greets you at registration check-in at Hotel Distil.

Travel to Louisville
Best way to get to Louisville is by car or plane (SDF). Please plan to arrive at Hotel Distil by noon on 4/29. We'll see you when you get here!
Airport Transfers
You can add on airport transfers for an additional fee. Executive Transportation provides professional service in their fleet of luxury vehicles.
Select Meals
Snacks and food at Churchill Downs is not included.
Overnight Parking
If you are driving to Louisville, Hotel parking is not included. There is a self-parking is $28 per day, valet is $32 per day.
Souvenirs/Bottle Finds
Bring a suitcase large enough to take all of your whiskey finds. Buy as much as you can manage to take home!
Hotel Incidentals
When you check-in at Hotel Distil, you will be asked to provide a credit card to pay for incidentals - including food and room service.
Transportation
Transportation beyond the scope of the trip is not covered. Please be prepared to use UBER or LYFT to get around Louisville beyond our weekend itinerary.

Hit the Ground Running!
Check-in to Louisville's newest hotel, Hotel Distil where you will be greeted by our staff with a cocktail and welcome bag.

We will then board a luxury bus over to Evan Williams Bourbon Experience for an in depth look into their unique approach to producing whiskey. We'll do the tour of their on-site distillery, drink specialty cocktails, and have a special whiskey tasting and dinner with a few special guest from Heaven Hill Distillery.

After dinner, explore the bustling city of Louisville on your own.
Bar hop down Main Street or dash over to Indiana for cigars and more whiskey at Match Cigar Bar.

Heaven Must be Like THIS!
We'll provide a quick Grab & Go breakfast before we board our luxury bus and head over to Heaven Hill Distillery and Bourbon Heritage Center. We will spend the day touring the distillery with a few VIP Tour Guides! We'll also have lunch and an exclusive whiskey tasting of Heaven Hill's amazing bourbon portfolio. You'll also have the opportunity to fill and label your own bottle of bourbon!

We'll then head back towards Louisville for an exclusive tour of the historic Bernheim Distillery! This distillery, typically closed to the public, is the workhorse behind Heaven Hill's products. It's a sight to behold!

Finally, we'll take a quick nap and a change into our Derby attire for the evening activities. We will take our official group photo before transporting over to Churchill Downs for an evening of mint juleps and horse racing. Be sure to dress in your finest derby attire – hats for ladies; bowties for men!

The Black Jockey Brunch
Our final event of the weekend will culminate with Black Bourbon Society’s Black Jockey Brunch. This boozy brunch will also be open to local Black Bourbon Society members and the general public. It will feature a curated brunch menu paired with specialty cocktails, a tribute to highlight the contributions Black Jockeys have made to the Kentucky Derby and the horse racing industry, and more.

We'll close our weekend with an optional shopping excursion at Westport Whiskey & Wine. We'll say our goodbyes while wrapping up our bottles for safe transport back home.
