Transporte desde Puerto Ayora a la Reserva el Chato, que está localizada a 22 kms de Puerto Ayora, es una zona abierta que no requiere guía. Se puede observar aves terrestres, pinzones, pájaros brujos, garzas bueyeras y las emblemáticas tortugas gigantes en estado silvestre. Además podrá visitar los “Túneles del Amor” que se encuentran en Bellavista.

Nuestro personal le embarcará en su transporte para llevarlo desde Puerto Ayora hasta la reserva El Chato.

Das Check-In Ist nicht leicht zu finden, er wird jeweils aufgebaut und wirkt etwas improvisiert. Das Taxboot zur eigentlichen Fähre muss separat bezahlt werden. Die eigentliche Überfahrt ist laut und je nach Seegang ruppig. Bei gutem Wetter sitzt man am besten ganz hinten (außer man hat einen Seekranken neben sich). Die Sitze sind recht bequem. Das Personal ist nett. Es gibt zur Halbzeit der Überfahrt etwas zu trinken und zu essen. Nach dem Ankern am Ziel ist wieder eine Taxi Bootfahrt fällig. Alles in allem ist das fast wie eine Busfahrt, nur auf hoher See.

There was a bit of confusion with our departure date, but was resolved by the local attendant. Tenders to individual ferry boats was well organized. The staff and ferry ride was excellent. Tenders and transfer to the Santa Cruz dock was also well organized. All staff at both ends were very efficient.

Best trip ever. Incredibly well-organized. We saw amazing things and the tour guide took his time to show us around, take pictures, videos and find marine wildlife for us to see.

Travel between San Cristobal and Santa Cruz went smoothly. As the water taxis needed to be used at both ends I feel it would have been more sensible to include this cost in the ferry ticktes. It was a bit frustrating to have to get tickets and submit more information following a Whatsapp message from Galapagos Ferries.
