This Egypt journey offers a taste of the country’s legendary history and culture. In Cairo, explore the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the New Egyptian Museum, and the vibrant streets of Old Coptic Cairo, capped with a relaxing Nile felucca ride. In Luxor, discover the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor Temples, and a hidden favorite temple, with optional experiences like a sunrise hot air balloon ride for breathtaking views. Perfect for travelers eager to experience Egypt’s iconic landmarks and hidden treasures in one unforgettable adventure.
Our group will step into the heart of Egypt’s ancient and living history, beginning with a visit to the iconic Pyramids of Giza—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We will stand in awe before the Great Pyramid of Khufu and take in the grandeur of these timeless structures, with the opportunity to capture a classic photo “kissing” the Great Sphinx, the enigmatic guardian with the body of a lion and the face of a pharaoh.
We will continue our journey through Egypt’s remarkable past at the New Egyptian Museum, home to world-renowned treasures such as Tutankhamun’s golden mask and countless ancient artifacts that will deepen our connection to this fascinating civilization.
In Cairo, our group will explore the majestic Salah El-Din Citadel, a medieval fortress that once protected the city, and admire the stunning Mosque of Mohamed Ali with its grand Ottoman design and panoramic views. We will then visit Old Coptic Cairo, where different faiths and civilizations converge. This historic district is home to ancient Coptic churches such as the Hanging Church and Abu Serga—one of the oldest churches in Egypt—alongside the Ben Ezra Synagogue and early Islamic mosques. Walking through its narrow streets will feel like stepping back in time, offering a peaceful atmosphere rich in history, culture, and religious heritage.
The experience will be beautifully rounded out with a relaxing Nile felucca ride, where our group will sail along the river on a traditional wooden boat, enjoying refreshing breezes and scenic views of Cairo’s skyline, especially stunning at sunset.
Our group will arrive in Luxor and step into the cultural heart of ancient Egypt, where extraordinary monuments line the Nile. On the West Bank, we'll explore the legendary Valley of the Kings, final resting place of Egypt’s great pharaohs, including Tutankhamun, with richly decorated tombs revealing the beliefs and artistry of the New Kingdom. We will also visit the stunning Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari and stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon, guardians of the Theban Necropolis for over 3,000 years.
Then, we'll explore the Workers’ Tombs. offers a fascinating look into the daily lives of the ancient artisans who built the royal tombs. Unlike the grand pharaohs’ tombs, these are smaller but beautifully decorated, showing family scenes, work, and beliefs about the afterlife. They’re colorful, personal, and much less crowded. perfect for understanding ancient Egyptian life beyond kings and queens.
Across the river on the East Bank, we will explore the immense Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious site ever built, famed for its vast courtyards and towering hypostyle hall. We will also visit the Temple of Luxor, where ancient festivals and processions once took place, beautifully illuminated by the sun’s glow.
One of the highlights will be a special visit to one of Adreon and Corey’s favorite temples, the Dendera Temple. Located north of Luxor, this exceptionally well-preserved temple is dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love, music, and healing. Its beautifully carved ceilings, famous zodiac reliefs, and vibrant artwork make it one of the most stunning and less-crowded sites in Egypt. We were truly blown away by this temple and can’t wait to share it with the group.
