Day 2 - On the morning of day 2, play golf ROUND #1 at nearby Encinitas Ranch Golf Club or The Golf Club of California depending on availability.   Upgrade option to play Torrey Pines North or South Courses just North of San Diego in La Jolla.   Many PGA golf pros consider Torrey Pines to be the best challenge on the entire PGA tour. 

After golf on day two, you will drive about 50 miles (80 km) to the quaint village of Dana Point in South Orange County (the Golf Coast) where you will check in for one night at  the Best Western Marina Shores (or similar).  

In the morning at approximately 8 am, you will drive 30 minutes North (8 miles, 13 km) to Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club, Avery Parkway, Mission Viejo.  Enjoy a great round of golf (GOLF ROUND #2) in this challenging canyon course designed by Tom Lehman.  Option to upgrade and play two other great golf clubs in Orange County:  Monarch Beach Golf Links  at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort and Beach Club. or 36 stunning holes at Pelican Hill Golf Club and Resort on Newport Coast (course architect Tom Fazio). 

After golf, you'll drive PCH to Santa Barbara, 5 hours 30 minutes 158 miles (254 km) and check into the Castillo Inn at the Beach  (or similar) for two nights.  Along the way stop and enjoy Santa Monica and Malibu!  Whether you enjoy golf, hiking, fine-dining, wine tasting, water sports, lazing on the beach, culture, or a great night-life, Santa Barbara has something for you. Santa Barbara is sometimes referred to as the American Riviera. Its beautiful beaches, majestic mountains, and colorful culture make Santa Barbara a premier resort destination. World-class accommodations and dining await its many visitors. 

Play golf at nearby  Glen Annie Golf Club .  GOLF ROUND #3 Glen Annie Golf Club is a championship golf course with first class amenities situated in the rolling foothills of scenic Santa Barbara. This challenging golf layout is enhanced by breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Channel Islands and is always maintained with the highest standards.  Option to upgrade and play golf at Sandpiper Golf Club. 

In the morning, you will check out of your hotel and Drive on PCH 123 miles (197 km) or 3 hours to Morro Bay Golf Club Tee of around noon (GOLF ROUND # 4). Morro Bay Golf Course offers stunning panoramic ocean views from just about every hole. This “player-friendly” 18-hole public course has tree lined fairways and hilly terrain placing a premium on club selection.  Marked by the Gibraltar-like monolith of Morro Rock, which was noted by Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo in 1542 and now serves as a peregrine falcon preserve and nesting site, Morro Bay (pop. 10,581) surrounds a beautiful fishing harbor a half mile west of Hwy-1. A thin three-mile-long strip of sand protects the bay from the Pacific Ocean, forming a seabird-rich lagoon that’s included within Morro Bay State Park, a mile southeast of Morro Rock.   

After golf, drive, just 30 minutes or 22 miles to the village of Cambria.  You will stay overnight in Cambria at the Sea Otter Inn (or similar).  Cambria is full of people who like to do things a little differently. Being in Cambria means trying new things… taking the trail less traveled, coloring a little bit outside of the lines. It’s no coincidence that this unique town is full of exhilarating experiences, artistic flair, and wide-open spaces. In the morning, you'll, drive 2.5 hours or 105 miles (168 km) to Pacific Grove Golf 

Links, or other fabulous courses on the Monterey Peninsula while stopping in San Simeon and enjoying the spectacular views along Big Sur. Art and nature merge on this rugged coast, one of California’s most spectacular settings. Welcome to one of the world’s most unforgettable stretches of coastline. This roughly 90-mile-long stretch of redwood- and fog-trimmed waterfront between Carmel-by-the-Sea and Hearst Castle draws you (and writers like Henry Miller and Beat Generation darling Jack Kerouac) in with a magic allure that is almost palpable. This is, quite simply, a place you want to be—bluffs, sea, and sky. The classic drive through Big Sur, along twisting Highway 1, offers plenty of pullovers at places like Bixby Bridge. Stop at parks along the coastline and look up to see endangered California condors, North America’s largest birds, or look down to scan the swells for migrating whales or sea otters floating among dense beds of kelp, California’s signature seaweed.

After golf, within a few minutes drive of Pacific Grove Golf Links, check in to the Olympia Lodge for one night.  You can also upgrade your accommodations and stay at Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch in Carmel By The Sea.  The historic Mission Ranch sits on 22 acres with spectacular views of Point Lobos, Carmel River Beach and the Pacific Ocean. Once one of the first dairies in California, the rich history of this 1800’s ranch was preserved and restored by former Carmel Mayor, Clint Eastwood. 

Check out of your accommodations at 8 am and experience the stunning 17 Mile Drive.  You will arrive at an enchanting world full of dramatic coastal cliffs, snow-white beaches, mystical forests and iconic golf courses. Discover one of the most scenic drives in the world as you meet the inspiring Lone Cypress, ponder the giant trees at Crocker Grove, digest the untouched beauty at Fanshell Beach, behold the power of the Restless Sea at Point Joe, stroll the boardwalk above the beach at Spanish Bay, and much, much more.

Then, you’ll drive 4 hours, 15 minutes (134 miles, 215 km) along US-1 hours, 30 minutes (94 miles) to Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco.  (Option to drive on HWY 17 and 101 directly to San Francisco to reduce drive time, but you will not be on PCH!   You also have the option to upgrade and drive 1 hour from Carmel (on the way to SF) to play golf at the spectacular PasaTiempo Golf Course (upgrade) in Santa Cruz. This golf round is currently not included in the package. Pasa Tiempo was designed by world-renowned golf architect Alister MacKenzie. Even though MacKenzie also designed Augusta National and Cypress Point, Pasatiempo was his favorite layout and where he made his American home, which still borders the sixth fairway.  Pasatiempo is also certified by Audubon International for its achievements in protecting the environment and enhancing local wildlife and habitat. 

When you arrive at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, check into Marriott Vacation Club Pulse Fisherman Wharf  (or similar) for 2 nights. San Francisco is often called "Everybody's Favorite City," a title earned by its scenic beauty, cultural attractions, diverse communities, and world-class cuisine. ... Views of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay are often laced with fog, creating a romantic mood in this most European of American cities.

In the morning of your 8th day, enjoy sightseeing on your own.  You can pre-reserve tickets from the NPS to visit Alcatraz Island.  National Park Service guides have so many great stories to share about the inmates who lived there and all the daring escape attempts.   In the early afternoon,, drive 3 miles or 5 km to the nearby Presidio Golf Course overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and play 18 spectacular holes of golf on one of the most prestigious public courses in the U.S.  GOLF ROUND #6   You can also upgrade to play at  TPC Harding Park. This course was host to the 2020 PGA Tour Golf Championship. The Harding Park Course was substantially renovated in 2005 to better suit it for PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions events. 

After golf, return to your hotel in SFO and enjoy a night on the town on your own.  Chinatown has some of the best restaurants on the planet or savor freshly prepared seafood at restaurants along Fisherman’s Wharf.

Check out of your hotel and drive North along PCH into Sonoma County to the Links at Bodega Bay Harbour.  2 hours, 10 minutes 71 miles Play afternoon golf.  GOLF ROUND #7 Check in to Bodega Bay Hotel Inn at The Tides (or similar) for 1 night.  Bodega Bay is most famous as it was the site where the famous Hitchcock Movie “The Birds” was filmed. 

In the early am,   drive 1 hour 20 minutes (47 miles or 75 km) to Sea Ranch Golf Links.  Play your last round of golf before you come to the end of PCH in Leggett.   Golf Round #8.  Designed by Robert Muir Graves, Sea Ranch Golf Links offers some of the most phenomenal views that a golf course can possibly offer. Enjoy 18 masterfully designed holes right on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Breathe in the seaside air as you work your way through the Scottish links style course. Each hole offers four tee boxes, allowing you to make the course exactly as challenging as you want it to be. The natural beauty of the Sea Ranch Golf Links is something that simply must be experienced to truly appreciate.  Sea Ranch Golf Links rests on the edge of the beautiful Sonoma Wine Country and Pacific Ocean.   After golf, drive 1 hour,  30 minutes (61 miles miles) to the Beach House Inn Pudding Creek, (or similar) Fort Bragg near Mendocino.  Check in for 1 night.  

In the early morning, drive 1 hour, 30 minutes (56 miles or 90 km) to Leggett, the official end of PCH.  Welcome to the Redwood Empire as you visit Chandelier Drive-Thru Tree Park, then a short drive to Smithe Redwoods State Natural Reserve..  If you have another extra day, drive 45 minutes to Humboldt Redwoods State Park and stay overnight at the Humboldt House Inn. (optional add-on).  After lunch, drive 3 hours 30 minutes (188 miles or 302 km) to Napa Valley.  Check in to Silverado Resort (or similar) for 3 nights.

Play golf at  Chardonnay Golf Club, which meanders throughout over 150 acres of Chardonnay, Merlot and Pinot Noir vineyards and features numerous lake and creek crossings. Option to upgrade and play at Silverado Resort, designed by legendary PGA Hall of Famer Johnny Miller, who also owns the resort. GOLF ROUND 9
