Join our customized, small group tour of Cambodia (4 pax min. to 10 max.)
Keeping your travel schedule in mind, participants will be put in the right place, at the right time, to explore and capture the best of Cambodia, including its people, food, temples, markets, and other cultural wonders.
Approximately 2- to 4-hours per day on average of time with your trip leader Ralph Velasco, including group photo walks and locally-guided walking tours in each location.
Cambodia, also known as the Kingdom of Cambodia, is located in Southeast Asia's southern portion of the Indochina Peninsula. It's bordered by Thailand to the northwest, Laos to the northeast, Vietnam to the east, and the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest.
The landscape includes low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, and mountains. In Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, you can visit the art deco Central Market, the glittering Royal Palace, and the National Museum.
Practiced by about 95% of the population, Theravada Buddhism is the official religion.
In Phnom Penh you’ll experience a sunset cruise on the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers, plus visit the Central Market, Wat Phnom, Silk Island, the Killing Fields, Tuol Sleng (S21), take cyclo and tuk-tuk rides, and much more.
Moving on from Phnom Penh you’ll spend time in Battambang, where you’ll enjoy a tuk-tuk adventure into the countryside with stops to see how they make rice paper and sticky rice served in bamboo, as well as a stop at the local prahok (fish paste) market, an experience you’ll surely never forget. You’ll also visit the austere Killing Cave and witness the spectacle of over 6 million bats as they leave their cave around sunset to feed in the local rice fields.
Continuing your partial circumnavigation of the Tonle Sap, you’ll venture on to Siem Reap, your base for exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site of Angkor Wat (voted #1 on TripAdvisor’s World Wonders, the list of the 25 top-rated landmarks of the world ) where you’ll have an included day pass to the ruins. Our itinerary features sunrise and sunset at Angkor Wat, visits to Bayon and Ta Prohm along with other amazing sites.
Finally, you’ll fly from Siem Reap back to Phnom Penh (flight included), and then have a private transfer to visit the seaside town of Kep, famous for its crab market with wonderfully fresh seafood, a trip to a pepper farm to see how it’s processed, as well as Rabbit Island, simply the perfect place to explore or just relax and wind down from your great Cambodian adventure!
Then on the last day, you’ll be transferred back to Phnom Penh to fly out.

“Cambodia has been on my To Do list for some time – the opportunity to do this with a tour geared to photography is obviously a great option. This way you get to meet new friends and enjoy your travel photography with knowledgeable guides and a team that takes you to all the high spots but also lets you meet the locals and see their everyday life. The schedule is balanced with time to relax and explore on your own as well as advice and support on developing your travel photography skills.” - Barbara O.
“The trip was great! We had a good introduction to the Khmer culture of both yesterday and today, and we had a chance to visit historic and religious places. There were many opportunities for good photos. I particularly liked the tuk-tuk adventures and seeing the Cambodian people in both the cities and in the countryside.” - Vivian N.
“I really enjoyed my visit to Cambodia. The people were warm and welcoming and willing to have us photograph them at their daily activities. We had the opportunity to see the cities and countryside, crafts people and markets, temples and monks.” - Craig M.
