About this trip

From April 30 to May 10, 2027, Two Peacocks Travel will embark on an unforgettable women-only journey along the historic Camino de Santiago, traveling from the beautiful coastal town of Baiona to the sacred city of Santiago de Compostela. Covering approximately 126 kilometers (78 miles) along the scenic Portuguese Coastal Route, this transformative pilgrimage invites women to walk in the footsteps of centuries of travelers while embracing reflection, personal growth, connection, and cultural discovery.

The year 2027 is a Holy Year in Santiago de Compostela, making this pilgrimage even more meaningful and special. Dating back to the 9th century, the Camino de Santiago has long been one of the world’s most important pilgrimage routes, leading travelers to the final resting place of Saint James. During a Holy Year, pilgrims are invited into a deeper spiritual tradition that enhances the journey and its significance.

Along the way, our group will travel through lush Galician landscapes, charming villages, peaceful forests, and historic towns rich in culture and tradition. More than just a walking trip, the Camino is an experience that challenges and inspires. Together, the women will share stories, encourage one another through each step, and build lasting bonds rooted in sisterhood and accomplishment.

Upon arriving in Santiago de Compostela, pilgrims will receive their Compostela Certificate at the awe-inspiring cathedral, marking the completion of their journey. The Cathedral’s Holy Door (Puerta Santa), which opens on December 31st and remains open throughout the Holy Year, is a central part of this sacred tradition. Pilgrims may pass through the Holy Door as part of their pilgrimage. During a Holy Year, the Catholic Church also offers the opportunity to receive the Jubilee indulgence, a special spiritual grace.

This pilgrimage is about far more than reaching a destination. It is an opportunity to disconnect from everyday life, reconnect with yourself, and experience the power of community, resilience, and reflection in one of the most spiritually significant places in the world.
