Immerse yourself in stunning scenery, iconic wildlife, and exceptional culture on the Camp Concepts 2023 Kenya Experience Purpose Trip. The journey will begin after arrival in Nairobi, as you venture through the Great Rift Valley to Nakuru. In the Lake Nakuru area, you will enjoy game drives within Lake Nakuru National Park for wildlife sightings. Moi Forces Academy will also be visited, and participants will have the opportunity to meet and engage in activities with local Kenyan students. From Nakuru, the tour will depart for Kisii, which will be the access point to Nyanchonori Village. Campers will engage with the community to make lasting personal connections with locals, as well as participate in a meaningful project to leave Nyanchonori better than when we found it. After our village experience, the tour departs for the exceptional Maasai Mara reserve, which offers the best game viewing in all of Kenya. After a safari adventure, we will return to Nairobi for our flight back to the US.

Depart JFK at 1:45pm, arrive in Nairobi at 10:30 am.

Nakuru
You will be greeted and assisted at the airport in Nairobi on arrival. Afterwards, you will be driven through the Great Rift Valley to your overnight destination in Nakuru.

Nakuru
Enjoy activities at the Moi Forces Academy, a boarding school for girls in Nakuru. Here, you will tour the facilities and make meaningful connections with students and staff as you learn about Kenyan education and culture. After lunch at the lodge, you will embark on a game drive to see the exotic wildlife in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Kisii
Rise early, and enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Afterwards, the group will depart Nakuru for Kisii, a town which will be our access point to Nyanchonori Village.

Days 5 and 6
Days 5 and 6
Nyanchonori Village
Raise the village, by working with the Global Connections Foundation to embolden and empower residents of the remote Nyanchonori Village. On our first day in the village, we will participate in immersive cultural games and activities with the residents of Nyanchonori. On the second day, we will work side by side with villagers to improve and beautify the local village school. Through teamwork, we will make lasting connections with locals during this perspective shifting experience.

Maasai Mara
The group will transition from purpose work in Nyanchonori, to a safari adventure in Maasai Mara. After our drive from Kisii, experience an unforgettable afternoon game viewing adventure in the reserve, complete with a stop in an authentic Maasai Village.

Return to Nairobi, Fly Home
Following breakfast in Maasai Mara, you will be transported to Nairobi. While in the city of Nairobi, enjoy a meal at Carnivore restaurant to cap off the trip. The flight from Nairobi departs at 11:35pm and arrives in JFK on the following morning, at 7:35am.
