Sheets, blankets and towels are provided for campers staying in the house! Tent campers need to provide their own bedding but we will provide your towels!.

Get settled in to camp and enjoy the first woodcarving workshop. Day 1

Enjoy camp activities in the morning and then take a deep dive into sacred harp singing in the afternoon. 8:30am - Morning Meeting &amp; Breakfast 9:30am - Get Ready for the Day/Personal Time 10:00am - Open Activity Time 12:00pm - Lunch 1:00pm - Rest Hour 2:00pm - Second Workshop 4:00pm - Break 4:30pm -Third 8:00pm - Barn Dance Social Hour - Old Time Jam with Local Fiddlers 9:30pm - Free Time/Hot Tub 11:00pm - Suggested Lights Out/Quiet in the House

Day 2

Finish up your time with a morning workshop and brunch. 8:30am - Optional Morning Activities (Hiking, Yoga); Breakfast Snacks 10:00am - Final Singing Session with Brunch Served 12:30pm - Closing Ceremony 1:15pm - Bus Rider Shuttle Departs to Delhi 2:00pm - Camp Closed

Day 3

Harry Bernholz lives in Ditmas Park and has been a part of the New York Sacred Harp singing community for the past year. He has spent his spare weekends traveling with friends to singings across the Northeast. Sebastian Beaghan lives in Brooklyn and has been a lifelong singer of folk music. He fell in love with Sacred Harp singing three years ago and is an eager participant in its ongoing traditions.

Meet Your Instructors

Camp Singers sits on 88 acres in the Catskills, with mountain views, farm pastures, and wooded trails. There is a swimming pond, a wildlife observation pond, and a creek. Three lovely donkeys (Starburst, Snickers and Blossom) also live on camp! Campers have the option to stay in our 1870's farmhouse or tent camp on site. The house, known as The Lodge, underwent an 18 month restoration to bring it back to all its original glory (and beyond). The Lodge has 6 private guest rooms and 4 shared bathrooms. Common spaces include: large dining area overlooking the woods, fireside kitchen seating, extensive chef's kitchen, game/craft table and gathering room, studio space and recreational activities.

About Camp Singers

Camp Singers is in Delaware County, NY--2.5 hours from the GW bridge. Some campers drive and others take the bus from NYC (Trailways PABT to Delhi). We can provide transportation from the bus station to camp--we'll pick up bus riders in Delhi at 1:45pm. Check-in is from 2-3pm on Friday. Limited coordinated carpool spots are available from Singers in Brooklyn. Please add bus pickup/dropoff as well as carpool as add ons at registration.

Getting Here

Tuition depends on your choice of sleeping arrangements: register for a private room, sharing a room, or camp on-site. When you register, you will be asked to pay a deposit of 1/2 of your tuition. The remaining 1/2 of tuition will be split into 2 payments and charged to your card or bank account on file on July 24 and July 31. Your tuition payment is fully refundable up to 4 weeks before the first day of the session. It is 1/2 refundable up to 1 week before the start of the session, and non-refundable after 1 week before the start of the session. Please contact bea@singersny.com with questions.

Take the bus to Delhi - we can pick you up at the station at 1:45pm on Friday.

We'll take you back to the bus station in Delhi at the end of camp. We'll depart camp by 1:15pm.

Round-Trip Carpool from Singers Bar

Bring your own tent camping gear and stay on-site at Camp Singers. Sleep in your tent solo or with friends. You'll have access to indoor bathroom facilities and can hang out with the in-house campers in the house during the day. Need to use our gear? Select the "Tent Rental" option as an add-on during this registration process and we will provide for you/your group. Includes twin size cots and/or air mattresses.
