About this trip

An astronomical extravaganza to four of the darkest national parks of Canada, to feast on astronomy with telescopes & binoculars, all from under extremely dark skies, hosted by one of India's foremost passionate & active amateur astronomers, Amar Sharma.

We have chosen some of the darkest locations of Canada, situated in the provinces of Nova Scotia, Quebec, Alberta, which will grant us opportunities to experience divine nights – and wet ourselves into the grand world of astronomy – all from pristine Canadian Nature. This is a group tour, wherein we travel together over 11 nights.

Aurorae Borealis, where the entire sky scintillates with fiery hues, are breath-taking sightings known to most travellers nowadays, but we will also look into the sky far deeper than one generally does. Laying under the pitch dark night skies, we will get to witness the arching dense Milky Way band which appears like a grey-scale watercolour painting, along with a black sky so studded with countless tiny stars that it will feel like looking at grains of sand from a beach glued onto the canvas above your head! Furthermore, through telescopes & binoculars, observing nebulae will render them nearly 3-d in appearance; star clusters will come 'screaming out' of the eyepiece; even distant galaxies will be pretty vivid fuzzes of light; all this is not just an awe-inspiring experience, but even a life changing one; something largely amiss today. Our astronomy host Amar will infect you into loving the night sky and tutor you into 'observational astronomy' like you would have never even projected for yourself.

As the pioneer of 'astronomy tourism' in Asia, we inspire you better than no one else. Come see Canada / Nature, for once, our astronomical way!
