Take in the beauty of Banff National Park with Chicas Abroad! Join us for 4 days and 3 nights of hiking at Lake Louise and Lake Agnes, exploring the Rocky Mountains by bike, and taking in the picturesque sights in this gorgeous part of Canada.

We will do one moderate-level hike that is around 4.6 miles, with an elevation gain of 1,259 feet, and will take 3-4 hours to complete. We will do another hike that is around 2 miles that is also rated as moderate. To fully enjoy this adventure, you will need to train for these hikes and be able to average a 30 minute/mile hiking pace. We will also be doing an e-bike that will be relatively easy, but you should prepare by riding a bike at home if it's been a while since you've been on 2 wheels! Be prepared for active adventures each day!

Lodging
3 nights at the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge in Canmore, Alberta at the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge; all rooms double-occupancy (we will pair you with another Chica if you are traveling alone)
Ground Transportation
Trip will begin and end in Calgary, Alberta; additional details for airport pickup to be provided after booking
Tips for Local Guides
Generous tips are provided for all LOCAL guides and drivers. Tips for the Chicas Abroad tour leader are optional and at your discretion.

Chicas Abroad shuttle from Calgary to Canmore
Plan to arrive in Calgary by 3:00pm. The Chicas shuttle will transport guests from the Calgary airport to Canmore where we will settle into our rooms and enjoy a Welcome Dinner to get to know all the Chicas.

Lake Louise and Lake Agnes Hiking
After a hearty breakfast to fuel us for our hike, we will depart Canmore and head to beautiful Lake Louise where we will take in the glacial blue waters and wander through the Fairmont Chateau and get a million Insta-worthy photos.

We will walk along Lake Louise to the Lake Agnes trailhead where we will hike to the Lake Agnes Tea House. The hike is rated as moderate and is approximately 4.6 miles with an elevation gain of 1,259 feet. We begin our hike at 5,624 ft and finish at 7,051 ft, so be sure that both your lungs and legs are in shape. The higher altitude will make it more difficult if you are not used to being at this elevation. We will enjoy a packed lunch with gorgeous views of Lake Agnes.

After our hike, we will drive along the Bow Valley Parkway and stop for views of the landscape and possible wildlife (moose, elk, deer, maybe even a caribou). We will arrive back at our hotel and have some time to freshen up before going to Banff for dinner.

Day 3 - e-Biking

e-Biking the Bow Valley, Shopping in Banff, and Sunset Views
Get your biking attire ready! Today we head out on an e-bike adventure along the Bow Valley River. We will take in the majestic views and look for wildlife along the way.

In the afternoon, we will have time to explore the cute town of Banff and do some retail therapy. We will have a nice dinner in Banff before returning to Canmore for the evening. If the weather/timing allows, we will take in the sunset over Two Jack Lake on our drive back to Canmore.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks

Activity: e-Biking approximately 15 miles which should be relatively easy. You may want to get your glute muscles in shape for sitting on a bike seat for a few hours though! We suggest you get in a few bike rides at home before the trip just to ensure you are comfortable on two wheels!

Grassi Lakes Hike & Depart from Calgary
Today we will begin our journey back toward Calgary with a stop for a short hike to Grassi Lakes. This is a moderate-level hike that is around 2.1 miles. This hike offers stunning views of waterfalls and lakes along the route.

We plan to arrive at the Calgary airport around 1:30pm. Please schedule your flights to depart after 3:00pm.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Activity: Moderate-level hike of 2.1 miles with 544 ft elevation gain. The trailhead starts at 4,689 ft, so is relatively high elevation to begin with. It's important to train both your legs and lungs for these higher altitude hikes.

I had an amazing time on our Sedona trip! The first day of hiking was moderate yet challenging for me in some areas. I sometimes feel that I have to accept the fact that I am aging and can’t do what I once was able to do. But I truly felt accomplished and have a renewed sense of achievement and want to do more hiking with the Chicas! The tour we took to Antelope Canyon and the beauty of our surroundings was indescribable! I really enjoyed getting to know our guide Jocelyn! I am beyond thankful for The Chicas Abroad Group! Through Melanie and many of the Chicas, I am learning to become an OVERCOMER!

Sedona was a wonderful adventure with family, past Chicas, and new Chicas. It is a blessing to show up and have Melanie, the leader, get us to where we are to go; pay for the meals etc. I am 68 and not a fast hiker, however, the group was patient with me and always had my back, along with encouraging words. If I had to say no to a particular section of the hike where the group could meet me on the return that was completely acceptable. Memories were formed that are eternal: so worth the expense and time. God Bless

I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicas Abroad hiking trip to Sedona. When they say that they take care of all the details, they mean it. All you have to do is register and show up! It is a worry free adventure where both introverts and extroverts are welcome. The food was delicious and the company even better! The hiking, scenery, and day trip to antelope canyon were memorable experiences. I can’t wait to sign up for my next adventure with Chicas Abroad!
