Today we board our deluxe motorcoach and meet our

local driver to see how geological processes have

formed and sculptured more than 50 glaciers and

mountains that tower 9,000 feet above 200 lakes which

comprise this terrain. Entering Glacier National Park will

leave you breathless with its Alpine beauty. Then by

special mini bus, also known as the historic Red

Jammers, we travel the spectacular “Going to the Sun

Highway”, acclaimed as one of the most outstanding

scenic roadways in the world. The 52 mile route

traverses through Logan’s Pass, across the continental

divide, and affords magnificent views of many glaciers.

By mid-afternoon, we arrive in Waterton Lakes National

Park. Here we enjoy an included cruise on Waterton

Lake, learning the history of the beauty of this area. After

a day of beautiful scenery, we check into the Bayshore

Inn and our evening is free to explore the charming and

quaint Waterton Village.

Our day begins by traveling the majestic beauty of

BANFF NATIONAL PARK, Canada’s oldest park. Next

we enjoy an included lunch at the famous FAIRMONT

BANFF SPRINGS HOTEL, truly a landmark

representing the Canadian Rockies. Following a short

drive we come to the world renowned CHATEAU LAKE

LOUISE a palatial hotel overlooking the emerald water

of LAKE LOUISE and VICTORIA GLACIER. Next we

come to enchanting MORAINE LAKE and the VALLEY

OF TEN PEAKS. Crossing the CONTINENTAL DIVIDE,

more beautiful scenery unfolds as we make our way to

BOW FALLS. After a full day we check into our hotel,

the High Country Inn for a delightful two night stay in

Banff.

Today we travel North America’s most scenic drive, the

Columbia Icefield Parkway. Majestic mountains along

with its variety of lakes make up the characteristics of

Jasper National Park that contains 4,200 square miles

of breathtaking beauty. Next we board a special snow

coach that takes us on an amazing journey to the top of

the Athabasca Glacier. Here we see how powerful forces

of ancient water and ice continues to shape the Rocky

Mountains. More highlights await as we travel to

beautiful Peyto Lake. Truly a photographer’s haven

where one can find solitude and be completely

captivated by nature’s beauty that attracts artists from

all over the world. Your evening is free to enjoy dinner

and shopping in Banff, (Sleep Well).

More spectacular beauty awaits as we travel to Golden,

the confluence of the Columbia and Kicking Horse

Rivers. Lunch is included at Fort Steele, an 1890’s

pioneer boomtown located in British Columbia. Crossing

into Montana we arrive back at our hotel in Kalispell,

Montana at Super 8, where this evening we enjoy

cocktails and socializing with our traveling family,

compliments of LaVerne’s Travel, Inc.

We depart on Monday, August 28 at 7:30 a.m. and arrive

in St. Cloud at 6:32 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29 with new

friendships and fond memories of the Canadian Rockies.
