DRINK IN THE awe-inspiring scenic splendor of the National Parks, canyons and red-rock cliffs of the Southwest. We start out in Scottsdale, Arizona and proceed to Sedona with its red sandstone formations only found here and perhaps a “vortex” or two. Then through Oak Creek Canyon, we continue to the Grand Canyon where we stay on the south rim”. Here, one quick look is never enough as the dramatic colors and shadows change with your point of view and the passing of time. Then on to lovely Lake Powell with its own canyons of butterscotch and blue-black “desert varnish”. Here you can choose from options to see the buttes of Monument Valley or a canyon adventure cruise. But we’re just getting started. In Utah, we see a jaw-dropping variety of spires, called Hoodoos of Bryce Canyon, followed by the awesome multi-colored sandstone cliffs of Zion National Park. Finally, after so much scenic splendor, we head to a modern canyon, Glitter Gulch—Las Vegas, for a bit of fun before flying home.
