No visit to Cape Town is complete without a half-day tour of this incredible city. After departing the hotel, you'll head for Table Mountain, enjoying the crisp air and clear visibility as you drive to the summit, weather permitting. Your guide will point out the highlights of one of the world's most famous views. The tour continues on, through the "Bo Kaap", also known as the Malay quarter. The architecture in this area is typical of what Cape Town was like 200 years ago. The drive continues past the President's official residence and the houses of parliament before going to signal hill to see the firing of the noon gun. The tour then will continue on a diamond tour to learn the history and master craftsman of these sparkling gems before returning you back to your hotel.

Enjoy a full day exploring and experiencing the wines of South Africa. The first stop this morning is at Nelsons Creek Estate (an alternative estate used on Sundays). After a tour through their cellars, a chance to sample some of their local wines as well as a cheese tasting is available. A brief city tour of Paarl follows, before you make your way to Franschhoek with a photo stop at the Groot Drakenstein Prison where Nelson Mandela was released in Feb 1990. This little village nestled amongst the mountains, can easily be mistaken as being in Switzerland. After a short tour of the little town, a second wine tasting will be done in Franschhoek followed by a lunch stop and perhaps the opportunity to try some of the fresh trout that Franschhoek is known for. After lunch the tour continues through to Stellenbosch. It is easy to understand why Simon van der Stel decided to settle a village amongst the mountains. The backdrop of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, the white gabled Cape Dutch homesteads, and the oak-lined streets and lanes all blend in to give this place a charm that will not be quickly forgotten. Time permitting, a third tour with wine tasting will be included, before your return to Cape Town.
