About this trip

Hi folks!

After we had a great time last week with the Virtual Night Walk, we wanted to invite you to a couple of other locations in the next days. We are going to open 3 more dates that we will run with a minimum number of 5 registered participants. On this specific link you can sign up for:

Sunday 29 at Carara National Park

We will enjoy these beautiful woods by the hand of Roy Arroyo and his son Steven. Roy has been guiding this Park for birders and naturalists for almost 20 years. We will learn about the different adaptions of plants and animals on a tropical ecosystem at 11 am CT (9am PT - 12 md ET).

On the other links, we will have the registration form for these 2 other events (you can write to if you need the link):

Friday 3rd, Explore a Family Organic Farm + Tropical Cooking Class

Franciny and her son will take us through their small farm, mostly cultivated with several varieties of bananas among several other local crops. Then, after we learn about their lifestyle we will have a Cooking Class of "how to make tostones" or "picadillo de papa". Be sure to write to us in advance asking us for the ingredients, which are not that hard to find in the US and Canada. 5 pm CT (3 pm PT - 6 pm ET): write to us for the link to this event

Thusday 10;   Enchanting Mangrove Coast

We will explore the coastal vegetation of one of the wildest regions of Costa Rica. By the hand of local guides and biologists, we will learn about the adaptations and the important role of coastal trees for wildlife and local communities.  3:30 pm CT (1:30 pm PT - 4:30 pm ET):  write to us for the link to this event

If you register with this link you are supporting the project with a donation which means we are forever grateful (:

Pura vida! And see you on the screens!

We are a small Tour Company founded by biologists. Our passion is to share the wonder of Costa Rica in the most authentic and sustainable way possible. For the big agencies, this goal is impossible due to their size. Our small and specialized team works hard every day to fulfill this sustainability goal, this is something that for sure you are going to notice when you travel with us. See you, Pura Vida

We had an absolutely amazing time and the chance to learn so much about nature and wildlife. Seldom you get the chance to see raw and real nature as we saw with Oropopo. I really hope to have soon the opportunity to experience this amazing magic again. Greetings and many thanks!

This personal tour, including live sitings of sloths at the University, was a highlight of our time in Costa Rica. Thanks again to our gracious, personable, and informative guide! Lunch was also a delight, and the pickup and drop-off from our hotel made this care free. A+++!

Looking for Wild Sloths, Birds and Butterflies in San Jose! Under the skillful guide of Marcelo Elizondo of Oropopo, Jungle Campus Tour, another world opens up in the heart of the city. Nature abounds as birds, trees, flowers, butterflies and sloths are revealed in their detail. Easy to miss in a hurried world, this short tour is recommended most highly.

Our Biologist Extraordinaire was LuisFran. We had a good time! Meeting up at the cafe was easy. Luis did a good job at explaining and describing lots of information about animals, insects, and plants. My favorite part was the butterfly habitat. We were a small group of 3 people, so I felt like we had an opportunity to get a lot out of the experience. We also spotted a sloth sleeping in the trees. Overall, I think it was worth it.

Went on the tour with Luis, super passionate and knowledgeable guy. Full of good stories about nature inside and out. He spotted for Us sloth mommy with a few weeks old sloth baby sleeping in the tree, also one male moving from tree to tree. Super fun. Luis, hope Costa Rica is taking the precautions on the present crisis and eventually traveling is permitted back again. Hope you'll get to the Ireland real soon, keep up what You're doing. Thank You!
