Early morning you will be picked up at your  hotel in San Jose to drive to Tortuguero (approx. 4 hours),, a place well known for being one of the most important places in the world for spawning the green turtle. It's a beautiful trip, so relax and enjoy the views, as you move towards the ocean. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel where you will be served a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you will have the chance to visit the sea turtle museum (entrance not included, $ 3 per person), walk on the beach and explore the picturesque town of Tortuguero.

Transportation: 2 hours from San Jose to Caño Blanco to take the boat, 2 more hours by boat to the hotel.

 Today you will participate in several tours to explore the Tortuguero area. One of them will be a guided hike into the hotel trails to observe the local flora and fauna. The other will be a boat tour in the canals of the Tortuguero National Park where, with a little luck, you will observe a great variety of fauna among the lush vegetation. (Entrance fee to Tortuguero National Park not included, $15 per person)

   Today you will leave Tortuguero after breakfast and head to  Sarapiqui (approx. 2 hours). 

Sarapiqui is known throughout Costa Rica for its amazing and rich biodiversity as well as for being an adventure seeker’s dream destination. Located in the northeast part of the country, bordered by Nicaragua, Sarapiquí is a heaven for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. It is a certified sustainable destination and has a number of nature reserves and national parks in its surroundings that makes it a biodiversity heaven. Irrigated by the waters of the Sarapiquí river, it is a very fertile land, producing banana, coffee, cocoa, pineapple, heart of palm and corn amongst many other crops. The lush vegetation, high quality produce and adventure activities, make Sarapiquí a unique destination within Costa Rica.

After breakfast enjoy the adventure of the day: Sarapiquí floating trip.

This tour begins in a community known as Chilamate, and ends at Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí. It is a very quiet and safe area, perfect for observing nature, birds, the forest and animals such as iguanas, monkeys and crocodiles.

Experience a relaxing t safari float immersed in the tropical jungle that surrounds the Sarapiquí River. The Rainforest reserve, next to the river, is home of many otters, sloths, amphibians, birds, iguanas, and lush flora. After getting settled with your lifejacket and paddle, the guide will lead you, slowly paddling, to enjoy the sights and sounds of the rainforest. After the river tour is over, you will be taken to have a traditional lunch in the riverside facilities.

Once you arrive in the afternoon you will have the opportunity to soak  in the hot springs at  the hotel or at any of the hot spring resorts around town.

It is one of the smallest and most popular national parks in Costa Rica. Visitors to Manuel Antonio can enjoy a relaxing day on one of four pristine beaches or take a hike through the vibrant, green rainforest. From tide pools alive with crustaceans to endangered monkey species to stunning scenic vistas, Manuel Antonio National Park is a spectacular vacation destination.

 After and early breakfast you will head to Manuel Antonio National Park with your local guide. The park consists of 680 hectares, with easy hiking trails throughout. One path leads to the private beaches exclusive to park goers, while the other leads to the Manuel Antonio waterfall. There are over 100 species of mammals and almost 20 distinct species of birds. Throughout the park you will see a number of white-faced capuchin monkeys, lizards, sloths and  coatis. Your guide will provide binoculars, and all the equipment necessary to enjoy the day and observe the marvelous wildlife. Relax for the afternoon or choose one of the optional activities below.

The water that surround Caño Island are full of treasures. Like the diving or snorkeling sites that you can visit. Hte fantastic blue water of the island is home to many fish that inhabit the tropical reef. 

Just a few meters from the white sand beach you will find creatures such as angel fist and occasionally small sharks.

The first snorkeling will be done, then you will rest on the Island, you will be provided with water and natural juice and then second snorkeling will be done. Later we will return for lunch at the Pirate Cove hotel. Free afternoon.
