Experience one of Belize’s most unique day trips—combine snorkeling, fishing, and cooking your fresh catch on a tropical island in the Southern Barrier Reef. This all-in-one adventure from Hopkins Village offers the perfect mix of fun, flavor, and relaxation.
What to Expect
Board a skiff for a 45-minute ride to the South Water Caye Marine Reserve. Along the way, your guide will cast for bait near the mangroves before helping you reel in your own fish. Common catches include grouper, snapper, jacks, king mackerel, and barracuda. In season, you may even get the chance to dive for lobster or conch.
Next, head to the reef for a snorkeling session in Belize’s crystal-clear waters. Swim alongside colorful corals, tropical fish, sea turtles, and stingrays in one of the world’s most vibrant ecosystems.
Cook & Feast on the Island
Your guides will prepare a delicious island-style meal with your freshly caught seafood, grilled and served with tasty sides. Enjoy your feast in the shade of coconut palms, then relax in hammocks, swim, or snorkel off the beach before returning to the mainland.
