Discover some of the most stunning landscapes of the Atacama Salt Flat on this excursion from San Pedro de Atacama. We will visit Laguna Cejar and Laguna Piedra, where you can experience the sensation of floating in the water, as well as see the Ojos del Salar and the impressive Laguna Tebinquinche—surrounded by salt and scenery where the sky seems to merge with the desert.

1:00 PM – We will begin the excursion by picking you up from your accommodation within the town of San Pedro de Atacama.

We will head into the heart of the Atacama Salt Flat to visit the famous Laguna Cejar and Laguna Piedra. We will admire their turquoise waters, framed by vegetation and a backdrop of volcanoes.

At Laguna Piedra, you can go for a swim and experience the buoyancy caused by the high salt concentration—much like the experience of the Dead Sea. The site features changing rooms and showers so you can change and rinse the salt off your body.

We will continue to Ojos del Salar ("Eyes of the Salt Flat"), two deep freshwater pools located in the middle of the desert. We will have time to appreciate this unique landscape and take photos.

We will visit Laguna Tebinquinche, where we will walk along the trail to enjoy the panoramic views. The whiteness of the salt, the desert, and the sky combine to create a unique landscape.

We will conclude the excursion by returning to San Pedro de Atacama and dropping you off in the town center.
