Paseos en Buenos Aires (Gasparotto)

We had a very nice tour. Our English speaking tour guide to great care of us. We wanted a quick visit to Uruguay and this worked out well. 

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Earphone Translation Volumen not sufficient. Otherwise get on and off very good.

El viaje es bonito, recorrer los ríos y observar como es la vida ahí es increíble, el visitar los lugares como el museo de arte Tigre, el puerto de frutos debería ser con más tiempo de estancia porque sólo nos bajan para la foto y listo  no se recorre a gusto ni se puede comprar algo porque con el tiempo que dan para visitarlos no se logra gran cosa.

Me la pasé muy bien, el traslado en el ferry es muy cómodo, el señor que nos dió el paseo caminando en Colonia fué muy amable, el lugar donde elegí comer me atendió de maravilla y los alimentos fueron abundantes para ser sólo para una persona y el costo no fué excesivo, disfruté conocer el lugar.

Tuvimos una gran experiencia!  Cómoda habitación, excelentes tours. Nos encantó el paseo en helicóptero sobre las cataratas de Iguazú y acercarnos en bote a las cataratas, todo fue una experiencia inolvidable. Excelentes guías, siempre a tiempo y extra amables.

I have booked lots of tours in Buesnos Aires for a week and everything else went good except this tour.

This tour on the website said $70 - $75 but the MONS Hostel charged me $140 while claiming that they are not paid any commissions from the agency.

The only email I got for this "INTERNATIONAL" tour from Madero Viagens is the acknowledgement to my payment few days before the tour as I booked all tours on the day I joined MONS Hostel, and the Hostel sent me the "Receipt" for the payment with multiple pages mostly in "Spanish", and lastly an email from Madero Viagens for writing a good review for them.

I had no instructions sent from Madero Viagens or the hostel on what needs to be done the day before or the beginning of the day on Sunday, while I got Whatsapp updates for all the other tours including "Free Walking Tours".

I was ready for this tour on last Sunday waiting at reception one hour before the tour time of 8.30 am. Close to 8.30 am, I reached out to reception and then they said that I had to go to Puerto Madero as the transport was not included. 

With "International" tours like these where Immigration has to happen, we would expect some information on documents needed and the time and place to meet to be informed a day before, or stressed at the time of booking either by the Agency or by the Hostel people doing the booking.

Bottom line, I was waiting for them at MONS Hostel at 8.30 am and hence couldn't join the tour. The MONS hostel takes zero responsibility as they say they had not taken any commission for doing the bookig, and I did not book with the agency Madero Viagens directly. Hostel guys reached out to the agency and told me that I had lost $140 I paid for the tour which is mainly because of "Lack of proper" communication either from the Agency or the Hostel.

For me, it looks like a scam of first charging $140 for a $75 tour and then not sending any specific instructions even though both had my Whatsapp and email.

My suggestion - for Colonia trip, NEVER GO WITH Madero Viagens or MONS Hostel  (ONLY for booking this tour as the other tours the hostel handled were great with many pick ups from the Hostel).

We had a great time. Lovely performances and nice vocals.

GASPAROTTO

Con mi mamá contratamos el paquete de dos días a Iguazú, tanto el lado de Brasil como el Argentino, nos atendió Lourdes, una persona muy atenta en todo y aclaro todas mis dudas y consultas. La experiencia fue muy agradable, los transportes muy puntuales y los guías muy amables, específicamente la guía que nos llevó a Brasil, la mejor guía que he tenido. Sin duda recomiendo la empresa, así como a Lourdes, ya que se encargan de todo con personas muy amables.

Todo estuvo bien. Muy buena atención. Las recomendaciones que nos dieron sentimos que fueron lo mejor, ya que teníamos pensado diferente y la sugerencia del itinerario fue excelente. El hotel todo bien en relación costo-servicio.

 Mi esposo y yo estamos muy satisfechos con el servicio de Julio y Sofi en Madero Viagens Buenos Aires. Son serios, responsables y amables. Nos ayudaron a planificar un viaje perfecto an Uruguay y Punta del Este y nos sentimos como reyes. ¡Los recomendamos sin dudar! 

Colonia es un destino muy bonito, si bien es una ciudad pequeña, da muchas ganas de explorarlo con paciencia y tomando su tiempo. La empresa cumplió con los ofrecido lo cual es el transporte, la plaza de toros y el walking tour pero un punto que no nos gustó que el hecho que el buquebus tomó más de 1 hora en partir y lo mismo para volver. Si bien esto no es responsabilidad de la empresa, ellos nos indicaron que al comprar un paquete de medio día era suficiente lo cual no fue así. Hubieramos preferido ir en la mañana y regresar en la noche para poder explorar la ciudad con paciencia. Se supone que ellos saben de los potenciales atrasos y los tiempos de migraciones, no pueden ofrecer paquetes de sólo mediodía, el tiempo fue demasiado ajustado.

Respecto al otro tour, no pude disfrutarlo mucho, el clima no acompañó. Aunque igual fue importante conocer los lugares más emblemáticos de Buenos Aires

We TRAVEL from Montevideo to Punta del Este and back in a Day tour trip.

Sharp pick-up in the designated hotel, confortable bus with wc, Cel charge and clean Windows.

Interesting Guide tour:  We stopped at Piriapolis's San Antonio Hill:  nices views of Piriápolis (the Guide told us about the fundación and grouth of this Town).

Then we stopped at Casa Pueblo, near Punta Ballena, short time to enjoy the museum.

Then we went to Punta del Este, doing a panoramic view, crosing in bus by the Malecón and Rambla, to "The Emerging Hand"  the famous and iconic artístic work.

Then stop in DownTown to have Lunch (any one free) and to walk arround (and go back to The Hand).

Then at the time we left Punta del Este, without passing by Mandonado bridge that is also famous (so we lost it).

We arrived in Montevideo on time.

The experience was awesome but I can't say enough about how great customer service was. We had a number of unforeseen issues and they were accessible via WhatsApp and help us a lot. Really excellent customer service and a highly recommended service. Oh and other than the storm that rolled into Iguazu that day, the day trip was flawless and the falls are indeed amazing. Highly recommended.

The travel agency, Madero Viagens, who set this trip up was great, very friendly and helpful. They are "5 star". I had all the information I needed. The tour itself, I could have simply paid for a ferry ticket and walked around on my own. The value did not match what I paid for a tour. It may have been a bad day for the tour guide not appearing interested in what she was doing that day. There was someone else on the tour who also observed this. After hearing of this, the agency contacted me and apologized for this experience, and sent me a link to the tour company. Very professional on behalf of the agency to assist after the fact. I would definitely use the travel agency Madero Viagens again.

Argentina Trip  Bs As / Bariloche / Calafate / Ushuaia

Poorly planned.  Didn’t learn anything about bueno Aires.  Not sure why the soccer stadium was on the tour when there are more historical buildings.  Dropped off at a church with no explanation other than coffee and bathroom break.    Guide spent most of the time speaking Spanish to other passengers.   Overpriced and uninformative.  Got more information from the recording on tigre canal.

Some small inconvenience that doesn't allow me to give the 5 stars.

TRENES EN ITALIA

From the start, it wasn't ideal.  Getting tickets at the agency took a very long time.  It appeared that the agent's lengthy finger nails impeded her ability to type accurately.  She also had trouble entering numbers accurately.  Maybe dyslexic.

The Grey Line bus was clean and the guide friendly, but when we got off at the first stop with route map in hand, it was clear that joining the tour again at a later stop would be more effective.  The map was messed up and we could never -- even after two hours of walking -- find its stop.  We paid $54 (USD) for the tickets and only got one stop and about 20% of the total trip.  

CITY TOUR

This was a ridiculously expensive tour relative to value. I booked through the hotel. It advised the company would only take $USD.  $135USD!

The wait for the guide for the walk was longer than the walk. The ‘bus tour’ of the city was super short. About 25 minutes, ten minutes of that used by the stop at the bull ring. Ten minutes to see that whole place— one of the most significant pieces of architecture outside of the historic town. The guide (unknown to me at the time) was the same person at the reception desk who kept telling me to be patient as I had not bought a private tour. Rude. My impatience was for the one hour wait while a whole ferry full of visitors had landed, cleared the terminal, and the ‘guide’ took a break. Plus, the walking tour commentary was crass. Essentially the message was that if the subject building was roughly made and stone it was Portuguese. If was bigger, grander and better built, it was Spanish. LoL. 

What a rip-off in terms of price and value.  Suggestion: Book your own ferry passage and Google the facts about the old town. You’ll save a ton of money and save a whole lot of time. 

I expected more but it was ok. The English guide was excellent and very helpful.
