About this trip

Benvenuti in Lazio! Lazio is a region in central Italy, bordered by the Tyrrhenian Sea, and also home to Rome and the Vatican City. On this trip we will be exploring the heart of Italy through its blue coastline, lakes, old villas, stone built villages, and ancient Roman sites like Ostia Antica, the Coliseum, and many more.  Much of the time will be spent in Rome, in order to see all of its glorious history along with that of the Vatican City, with its frescoes painted by Michelangelo and its other famed sites. Viterbo is a medieval town with many spas and thermal springs. The town of Tivoli has an old town, but is known more for Emperor Hadrian's villa with many gardens and pools.
