This experience will take you hiking on a high mountain landscape very close to the city.
You will be able to reach 4.200 mts / 13700 ft above sea level on the same day and get views of the glaciers, mountains of 6.000 meters, and the city of Santiago.
It doesn’t matter the final point, you will always get nice views and feel the high mountain.
The unique thing about this area is the access: we will drive the car up to 3.000 meters.
From there the trail is well marked, not too difficult and it can also be tailored to the level of the group.
You will be led by expert guides certified with Wilderness First Aids and carrying first aid kits and satellite communication devices.
From the city, we drive 1.5 hours east, following a mountain road to the town of Farellones, where the three main ski resorts are located.
Upon arrival at the parking at 3.000 meters, we start the hike, and if it’s possible after 4 hrs approx we will reach the summit of Pintor at 4.200 meters.
During the day we will see if you are feeling good and adapting to the altitude, and based on that we will choose the final point:
It could be Piquenes lagoon at 3.500 meters, Falsa Parva summit at 3900 meters, La Parva summit at 4.000 meters, and Cerro Pintor at 4.200 meters.
We will pick you up at your place in Santiago to drive to Farellones (1.5 hrs) and a little more than 50 km through a mountain road.
We will start the hike at 3.000 msnm following a well-marked trail to get to the summit of Cerro Pintor.
After 4 hours of hiking, we will get to the summit, take a break to recover, and enjoy the magnificent views of the Andes and its glaciers before returning to our starting point.
