My experience at Durga’s was truly transformative. I learned so much about myself in a space that gave me a sense of safety, supportive, and deeply authentic. It allowed me to show up fully as myself without judgment, which is something I deeply value. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who feels called to liberate themselves through art, tantra, shamanism, and community. There is something very special about the warmth and connection that is created here.

My 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Durgas Tiger School was a deeply transformative and multi-layered experience that went far beyond a conventional yoga training. I have been to several yoga retreats and schools before, but this experience felt truly unique in its approach and depth. The combination of Kaula Tantra Yoga, shamanism, dance, art, chakra psychology and more creates a space where the practice becomes something that is not only learned, but deeply embodied and lived. What I appreciated most is that the teachings are not purely theoretical — they are felt through direct experience. The training invites you to explore your inner world, your patterns, and your relationship to yourself and others. This can be intense at times, but also incredibly grounding and rewarding if you are open to it. The location near Quito offers a beautiful balance. The school and its land create a feeling of being held in a natural bubble, surrounded by greenery and a peaceful atmosphere. At the same time, you are not isolated — you can easily walk into Tumbaco, explore the area, and experience local life. On weekends, there is also the opportunity to plan trips to nearby places. I always felt safe. This training is not always “comfortable.” It can challenge you, bring up emotions, and requires a certain level of self-responsibility and integration. For me, this was part of its value — it is not a retreat to relax, but a space for real inner work and growth. I would recommend this training to people who are ready to go beyond surface-level yoga and are genuinely interested in embodiment, personal development, and exploring different layers of their being. I leave this experience with a deeper connection to myself, a clearer understanding of how I want to hold space for others, and a strong sense that this work will continue to unfold beyond the training itself. I am deeply grateful to have found this place. For me, it feels like I have found a second home — a space where I can truly be myself, and a place I will always be happy to return to.

I originally booked to do 300 hours YTT with Durgas Tiger School but I ended up staying to do 500 hours. I really felt myself transform over the 9 weeks I was there. I feel more comfortable in my own body and skin and so much more confident in every day life. I felt really safe and held by all of the teachers and other students which allowed me to open up and be vulnerable like never before. The course was confronting at times but exactly what I needed. The yoga itself is wonderful and connects us so much to our bodies, I have continued to practice and teach since leaving the school which has been amazing. The variety in the classes at Durgas is really unique and they all compliment each other so well! From connecting with plants, clowning, dancing, meditating, tantra etc... I think it would be very difficult to find such a variety in a yoga training elsewhere. I am SO grateful for my time spent at Durgas and for all of the teachers and fellow students for helping me grow. I will be back one day for sure.

The 200-hour yoga teacher training was amazing! I met wonderful people, other students as well as the teachers and workers at Casa Kiliku. All the classes (kaula tantra yoga, meditation, walking massage, shamanism, etc.) helped me rediscover my body, reincarnate it even, thus realigning my spirit to my mind and my body. The school is situated within minutes to remarkable nature scenery, which are the best spots to walk around on the weekends. Quito is also quite close, with its outstanding history and cultural activities. Durga's Tiger School is definitely the place to relax and work on yourself while curled up in a cocoon of nature, kindness and gentleness.
