We have booked 60 spots with American Whitewater Expeditions and we will be taking over their Riverside Camping Resort June 17-19, 2022. This is right between Sacramento/LA Pride & SF Pride Weekends in heart of PRIDE MONTH! Bring your pride flags and let's do this!

Full details can be found on the CGA event page at www.californiagayadventures.com

      Two-Day Rafting Options

      Option 1:
Two Day Middle Fork & South Fork Chili Bar
      Price: $335 per person
      Class/Level: III-IV
Where: Day 1 (Sat) – Oxbow Bend to Greenwood Bridge on the Middle Fork.
Day 2 (Sun) – Chili Bar to Coloma on the South Fork
Trip length: 24 miles (18 miles on the Middle Fork and 6 miles on the South Fork)
This is arguably our most popular Middle Fork two-day trip. On this incredibly fun Middle Fork American white water rafting trip, you’ll raft the entire 18 miles of the scenic Middle Fork on the first day and then raft the fantastic 6 mile Chili Bar section of the South Fork. Between the trips, you will return to our deluxe campground where you can relax and make use of all the amenities and enjoy some hearty meals.

      Option 2:
Two Day South Fork Trip Lower Gorge + Chili Bar
      Price: $325 per person
      Class/Level: II-III
Where: Day 1 (Sat) - Coloma to Salmon Falls on Folsom Lake.
Day 2 (Sun) - Chili Bar to Coloma
      Trip length: 21 Miles
Your two-day South Fork American River rafting adventure begins the morning of your rafting trip with a hearty breakfast then, after an informative safety talk, you’re off to the river for a day of fun, laughter, excitement, and lots of exhilarating whitewater. The first few rapids you’ll encounter on the lower stretch are small but spirited and will allow you to practice your new paddling skills. Then a huge deli-style lunch to match those big, outdoor appetites will be set out for you by the side of the river. After lunch, we’re off to challenge “The Gorge” and experience the excitement of outstanding rapids such as Satan’s Cesspool and Hospital Bar. Just before you hit Folsom Lake our own Honda Jet Ski will meet you for the tow to the take-out at Salmon Falls – this way you avoid a 2-mile paddle out with a headwind.

      One-Day Rafting Options

      ONE-DAY RAFTING OPTIONS:
If you are excited to hit some whitewater, but only want to commit to one day, we have chosen a single-day option that will add you in with everyone else on Saturday! This will allow you to relax and do other activities on Sunday.

Option 1 - $185: One Day Rafting Trip with Single Lunch & One Night Camping.
Option 2- $275: One Day Rafting Trip with all 5 meals & Two Nights of Camping, just like the two dayers are getting.

      South Fork Lower Gorge
      Price: See above
      Class/Level: II - III
Where: Coloma to Salmon Falls on Folsom Lake
      Trip length: 15 miles
If you are a first-time rafter looking to “test the water” or if you are simply looking for a great day out on the river, then rafting the American River’s Lower Gorge is the perfect trip for you. Our river camp and starting point of this trip are the highest on the river and therefore our Lower Gorge Day trip is the longest and best value of any white water rafting trip offered on the South Fork of the American River. This approximately six-hour whitewater rafting trip will give you plenty of time to relax, swim in the pools soaking up the sun, as well as enjoy fun Class 3 Rapids. Stop along the way for an hour to enjoy a hearty river lunch.

      Camping / Accommodation Options

As mentioned above camping is included in the base trip pricing. 2-day rafting includes 2-nights and 1-day raft trips include one night. We have made options on our registration page to add additional nights of camping.

These bowling nights are always so much fun. There is a no-stress attitude with players supporting you for any gutter balls you may throw to any strikes. I’ve met a great set of guys and I look forward to seeing them each and everytime. Thank you for hosting to our hosts and keep up the great work you do. 👍🏼

I have always wanted to do this. First time backpacking and the Trans Catalina trail under the weather conditions we had was no joke! Good, easy-going company and daily challenges; I have learnt that trekking poles are your best friend. I had a ton of fun. Many thanks to the leader Andrew S and unofficial co-leader Sean O'brien; both were gangsta'. Looking forward to my next backpacking trip. Thank you CGA!

Sounds like it was a challenging, but fun trip. I was thinking about you guys!! Hope to see photos.

In the fall last year I went on my first hike. It was a challenging hike. This was my first hike with GCA, and the guys were really friendly to me as a newcomer. This set the stage for me wanting to join in other CHA activities and events.
