Chiapas doesn’t feel like the rest of Mexico. It’s greener, quieter, and a little more raw. You feel it right away.
We base ourselves in San Cristóbal de las Casas, a mountain town with a mix of indigenous culture, markets, and everyday life that actually feels lived in, not staged. From there we head out to explore the region properly. Canyon viewpoints at sunrise. Jungle waterfalls with unreal colors. Villages like Chamula where traditions are still very much intact.
This trip is about experiencing the place without rushing through it. Good pacing, time to take things in, and space to actually enjoy where you are. We mix nature, culture, and a bit of adventure, but nothing feels forced.
We keep the group small so it stays personal and flexible. No big buses. Just a solid crew, local guides, and a week that feels real.
If you are looking for something a little more grounded and less touristy, this is that trip.
Arrive in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, where we’ll meet you at the airport and begin the drive into the highlands.
We continue to San Cristóbal de las Casas, a colonial town surrounded by indigenous communities and pine forests.
