The Heritage Tours Goes to Chicago
Join The Heritage Tours for an immersive journey into the history, people, places, and movements that shaped Black Chicago and changed America.
Over two days and one night, we will explore Chicago through the interconnected stories of the Great Migration, segregation, civil rights, labor, housing, community organizing, political power, and the movements for justice that continue today.
Our experience will take us from the legacy of Emmett Till and the history preserved at the DuSable Black History Museum to the campus of the Obama Presidential Center and conversations with Chicago historians, community leaders, and changemakers. Along the way, we will examine not only what happened, but how the struggles and victories of the past continue to shape our cities, our communities, and our responsibilities today.
Depart with us from Columbus, meet us in Chicago, or travel from anywhere in the country to be part of this powerful learning experience.
This is not simply a tour of Chicago. It is an opportunity to experience the story of a city, and consider what its history asks of us now.
