Avoid crowds, no tourist traps, authentic local home made food in a private own cenote off the beaten path
We'll pick you up early in the morning to beat the crowds in Chichen Itza, since is the most visited in the area, at that time we will have the opportunity to enjoy the site with less people, have better pictures and take advantage of the fresh morning. Inside the archaeological site i wil explain you the importance of the city and the mayan civilization. Afrerwards we'll continue and visit a cenote off the beaten path,(sinkholes unique in the Yucatan Peninsula), which is own by a mayan family. There is plenty of time to enjoy the crystal clear freshwater of the cenote. The family will cook authentic local food, some ingredients are from their vegetable garden. After lunch we will hit the road again towards the yellow city of Izamal, . We will climb the mayan temple of Kinich Kakmo (34 m height/ 100 feet height), walk among the magic streets of the city and visit the convent in honor of Saint Antonio de Padua builded back in the XVI century. Finally we'll head back to Merida
