MARRAKECH TO DRAA VALLEY
Your adventure begins as you depart from the vibrant city of Marrakech in the morning, leaving behind the bustling medina and heading toward the majestic High Atlas Mountains. The journey takes you through winding mountain roads with breathtaking panoramic views of rugged peaks and verdant valleys. As you ascend the mountain pass, you'll have opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints where the vast landscape unfolds before you in a spectacular display of natural beauty.
Continuing your journey, you'll arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive fortified village that has stood the test of time. This remarkable earthen clay architecture has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood films and television shows, including "Gladiator" and "Game of Thrones." Walking through its narrow alleyways and climbing to its upper levels rewards you with stunning views of the surrounding landscape and offers a glimpse into Morocco's rich historical past.

The adventure continues as you pass through Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Desert" and home to the famous Atlas Film Studios. Here, you'll see where many international movies have been filmed, taking advantage of Morocco's diverse landscapes and distinctive light.

As the day draws to a close, you'll journey into the lush Draa Valley, characterized by its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs dotting the landscape. After breakfast at your Kasbah hotel, you'll journey through the lush Draa Valley with its vast palm oases and traditional mud-brick kasbahs. In Tamegroute, you'll discover the historic library housing rare ancient manuscripts and visit workshops creating the famous green pottery unique to this region.

The adventure continues as you transition to off-road travel along the Paris-Dakar Rally route, enjoying a picnic lunch in the desert while keeping watch for wildlife in Morocco's mini-savannah. As the day progresses, you'll reach the magnificent Chigaga dunes for a sunset camel ride across the golden sands.

Your day culminates at a luxury desert camp where you'll enjoy dinner under the stars followed by traditional Berber music around a campfire. The night ends with spectacular stargazing in the clear desert sky, creating a truly magical desert experience.

Your final day begins with breakfast amid the tranquil desert setting before departing the Sahara. Your return journey to Marrakech follows a different route, first crossing the expansive dried Lake Iriqui with its striking salt, flat terrain.

The adventure continues with a stop in the ancient mountains where you'll have the opportunity to hunt for fossils - fascinating remnants from when this region was once covered by ocean waters millions of years ago.

Next, you'll visit Taznakht, famous for its traditional carpet weaving, where you'll meet skilled women artisans at a local cooperative and witness their masterful craftsmanship of vibrant Berber textiles.
