Suzanne is an amazing yoga instructor and adventure planner. She knows the perfect balance of planning activities and allowing time for you to explore on your own.  Lake Atitlan, Guatemala was my 5th Flow Yoga Adventure and I love the trips so much I have already booked Peru for next year.  Lake Atitlan was a special retreat and a must add for any Yogi/ adventurer spirit!! 

This trip was incredible! It was the perfect balance of rest, physical activity, and emotional activity. So many special connections made there as well. 
And the views are unbeatable. One of the most beautiful places I’ve been. 

My yoga retreat in Guatemala was absolutely unforgettable. Communication leading up to and throughout the trip was truly five-star—clear, timely, and so supportive. The lodging was stunning, offering a peaceful and beautiful space to unwind. The yoga sessions and activities were incredible, thoughtfully curated, and deeply enriching. I genuinely cherish the time I spent in Guatemala and would highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a transformative and memorable experience.

Yoga Adventures at Lake Atitlan, Guatamala

Thoughtfully planned by someone who knows how to make the most of travel.  It was a cultural  experience, an opportunity for new friendships; excellent food, beautiful accommodations - PERFECTO!



I have always wanted to go on a yoga retreat and this one did not disappoint. There was plenty of yoga as well as free time. Suzanne did an amazing job coordinating the trip where all I had to focus on was packing my suitcase.

Beautiful accommodations and fun and iinformative adventures. I wish there had been more excursions; the villa was not walking distance to any towns and since I’m in Italy I want to explore.  Overall great trip that I would highly recommend!

Discovering Cuba was an amazing adventure! From learning to salsa and play dominos to delivering donations on horseback, the trip was incredible.  As always when traveling with Suzanne, everything was so well thought out and beautifully curated. Her trips never fail to inspire me and Cuba is one that will stay in my heart for a long time. 

2025: 8 Days w/Flow Adventures to the Island

This adventure couldn't have been more perfect.  Suzanne planned a fabulous trip for us, exploring Naxos, Paros and Athens. Greece itself was an amazing place to visit.  It is a beautiful country with a rich, interesting history, delicious food and friendly people.  The trip was a great balance of activity and relaxation.  Our accommodations couldn't have been better.  Suzanne is very thoughtful with attention to detail and organization.  Communication was clear and thorough from the moment we signed up for the trip.  I would follow Suzanne and Flow Adventures anywhere!

Goddesses & Wellness in Greece

We had a wonderful time on our trip. Everything went seamlessly and I enjoyed every minute. It was a perfect combination of relaxing and touring. I love that I didn’t have to plan anything and everything was perfectly organized.This is my second trip and I will definitely do it again.

Outstanding retreat at Lake Atitlán!  The location was magic and as always Suzanne put together an amazing trip.  From a sunrise hike, paddle boarding at dawn, fire ceremony, healing treatments the list goes on of memorable moments from my week at Villa Sumaya.  I absolutely love practicing yoga with Suzanne.  She crafts her classes with thoughtfulness and balances challenge with ease.  I would highly recommend any trip with her and look forward to joining her again (hopefully in 2024).  

Suzanne did a great job with the yoga as always, enjoyed the variety of views from the various yoga platforms, and music and yoga styles. 

I enjoyed the people, the venue, the views, the food.  The Guatemalan people were very kind and friendly. 

The Mayan Fire Ceremony was very interesting - yet I could hardly get up and down from that low chair after the long hike - my legs were too sore and I thought I might fall over a few times, so I ended up throwing burnable items from a seated position, which seemed lazy but I literally couldn't move very well. The other activities went with the vibe of the place - spiritual and 'woo-woo.'  I enjoyed watching other people experience those things. As my friend Jen says, I do a lot of things as anthropological experiments on other humans.  I'd love for men to do more yoga. I enjoy mixed company more so than all women company (or 95% women).  Myself and my friends contribute to that imbalance of course. Maybe a yoga trip for another day that has more co-ed oriented activities?  

The below feedback was mostly given on my Villa Sumaya form:
Food was great, too great actually, I gained a few pounds eating all vegetarian for the week. 
The rooms were... okay. The wind off the lake rattles the doors and windows and I had to wear ear plugs every night. I had one scorpion and several large spiders that I cleared out of my room myself. The room was a bit dated and needed a bathroom update. I had two hot showers and three barely-not-cold showers and I never could tell if or when the water would be hot. One day after a long hike, the water was shut off to my room --while I was in the shower --with no notice.  The water was out for maintenance for about 6 hours. At a normal hotel, we would have been pre-informed of a planned water outage.  They gave us a hot tub session as recompense.

One morning the coffee pot wasn't working - this was because of an electrical fire which shorted out the outlets and left a black scorch mark on the wall.  This electrical fire was in a building with a thatched roof, and connected to my room which had no smoke alarm. The kitchen was in a building connected to rooms that had no smoke alarms. This resort is U.S. owned - consider getting the electrical wiring shored up to a reasonable safety code, installing smoke alarms in bedrooms, and using scorpion repellant (cedar oil). 

The staff was friendly and helpful. 

So grateful you got to join this trip Kathleen, and celebrate with us once again a special birthday.  

Cannot say enough about this trip! Amazing cultural and spiritual experience. Beautiful location, delicious food, welcoming hosts, and amazing travel community. The yoga and other activities were beyond expectations. If you have the chance to travel with Suzanne to Guatemala or other locations, you will not be disappointed.

An absolutely amazing week with Suzanne/Flow Yoga at Lake Atitlan!  Everything was thoughtfully curated and carefully executed so that the week felt both relaxing and stimulating.  New experiences and activities, but time to recharge and relax.  The setting, food & accommodations at Villa Sumaya were absolutely lovely, it is such a unique and wonderful property and you feel so cared for and looked after while staying there. I look forward to joining Flow Yoga again in the future!

The Peru trip was fantastic! Suzanne did such an amazing job of incorperating culture and adventure. The day to day satisfied my need for adventure and hiking, while allowing for moments to slow down for reflection. The Willka T'ika resort was beautiful and the food was delicious. Our group felt like one big family. I will be keeping an eye out for my next location with Flow Yoga Adventures!

10 Days in the Sacred Valley, Peru

We had a wonderful time: Great group, interesting activities, tasty food, nice accomodations and wonderful weather. We could not ask for more! 


This was hands down the best yoga retreat I have ever been on! Suzanne and Nicole did a fantastic job of leading us. Imiola was beyond amazing in every single sense of the word. I was refreshed, reinvigorated, inspired, moved to tears. I met incredible people, was treated to unbelievable food, took fantastic yoga classes (Vinyasa and Kundalini), went on super fun and inspiring excursions (a hike to a waterfall, an afternoon at the beach, a bonfire and dance party at the beach), enjoyed deep and fulfilling conversations, journaled, had some down time, got massages...like, seriously? We saw toucans and a sloth and a gajillion different birds and butterflies and frogs and dragonflies and bugs and the place was so lush and green and stunning. I was surrounded by jaw-dropping beauty at every turn. I could go on and on. This was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you, Suzanne and Flow Yoga Adventures for this amazing opportunity. My life is forever changed.

Eye opening and enjoyable cultural, historical and culinary experiences every day of our trip to this beautiful city and its environs. Suzanne has chosen well in designing the tour and its guides. She’s a gracious and friendly leader who clearly shares her love of travel, food, the arts and yoga with all who participate in her adventures. 

The yoga retreat in Asturias was a fun filled adventure!  The hikes and the guides were phenomenal - educational, just challenging enough and so many sights to behold.
The food was delicious and I’m so happy I was able to try a new favorite cheese - Cabrales!  Our home base was such a lovely, tranquil place of rest and relaxation and stunning views - including a double rainbow!  Suzanne is a master of carefully crafting unique travel experiences with the a centering yoga practice at the core. This was my third Flow Yoga Adventure and I hope not the last!

This was the experience of a lifetime!  Such an amazing location, facility, and staff.  Suzanne is absolutely excellent in facilitating her yoga retreats!  
The itinerary had a perfect balance of scheduled vs. unscheduled time to allow for unwinding/relaxation as well as focused activities/times.  I appreciated the freedom to join in group activities or go off on solo exploring easily and without having to make a tough choice/choose between one or the other, there was ample opportunities for both. 
The daily yoga sessions were amazing, with varied times and styles that perfectly complimented the days activities.  All ability levels were easily accommodated by Suzanne's lovely intuitive teaching style and I felt both challenged and capable in each class.  I loved the options for adventure - like hiking & paddle boarding - and also the extensive spa/relaxation/healing therapies available on-site.  Mind, body & soul were all well attended to :)  
The food was outstanding, above and beyond anything I imagined.  Not being vegetarian I was a bit worried about being hungry...not to worry at all!  The meals were so varied and plentiful and filling, I would easily be vegetarian at home if I could cook like that!  And the option to add chicken or fish was always available.  I couldn't get enough of the self-service tea/coffee bar, and the house kombucha!
Villa Sumaya was impeccable in it's comfort, service, and carefully curated style and design.  From the comfortable and clean room, to the amazing sitting areas and reading nooks, to the lakeside lounging decks and yoga areas, I loved every bit of the property.  For it's listing as a 'modest' accommodation in a 3rd world country, I felt all my needs were perfectly met and cared for the entire time. 
I would return to Lake Atitlan & Villa Sumaya, especially with Flow Yoga, in a heartbeat!  I feel so rejuvinated and refreshed upon return home, and will cherish the special moments, growth, and memories with the group of amazing people, in such an amazing place, for years to come.  Thank you Suzanne/Flow Yoga & Villa Sumaya.

The most amazing, spiritual and healing retreat. Suzanne has a gift for running an organized, SAFE, enlightening, and best of all recharging and relaxing trip. Villa Sumaya is incredible. The staff was friendly and helpful and I felt safe there. The vegetarian food was healthy and delicious (I surprised myself as I didn't even miss animal protein). The property has little peaceful, beautiful pockets around every corner. The healers on property are magical. From yoga to Mayan ceremonies to hiking and paddle boarding adventures there is an activity for everyone. Simply sitting on the dock reading and taking in the wonder that is Lake Atitlan is enough to fill your heart. JUST GO! You won't regret it.

Taos Yoga Adventure

Hi Tressa, thank you for your insightful review on our Taos Retreat.  We have shared your concerns with the Taos Property manager and assure you we continue to find a better home for our next Southwest excursion as it was our first and last time using their facility.  You shouldn't have to ask that many times for the issues you posed.  
Again, thanks for coming and glad you enjoyed the retreat components and Taos itself.  

Good variety, good pace and different activities, nice short getaway to reset and recharge. Was good to meet people.  Suzanne and Jamie from Flow worked very hard to make the weekend a great time and help everyone with everything they could possibly need.  I would recommend Flow Yoga Adventures.

Food was overall great, too. 

Lodging could have been better.  I had a private room, but my room was a very dark cave. I had lukewarm or cold water the whole time, no hot showers the whole weekend. No tissues in the room, no mini frig, few bathroom amenities, no daily housekeeping service. I don't need new sheets or towels daily but usually at a hotel a housekeeper straightens up once a day.   Hard to find helpful staff at this place other than the chef.  Have a random question? Don't have hot water in your room? Pool towels all gone? Hot tub is not hot? Locked yourself out of your room by forgetting the punch code?  Any of these I could not find anyone to assist. 

Would have been nice if the lodge's meal service offered something besides water or hot tea with dinner, even for a fee. Soft drinks, iced tea, lemonade, seltzer?  No coffee available in the afternoons for after a long drive and afternoon arrival.

The Taos retreat was amazing! The food was delicious and the room was adorable and comfy.  Suzanne and Jamie lead amazing yoga classes and hikes.  Getting to know the local culture was such a wonderful experience.  Everything we did was AMAZING!!!  I can’t wait to do another retreat with Suzanne!

This was a trip of a lifetime!  Suzanne is an amazing leader - an experienced traveler and well-connected with locals to provide unique experiences (we hiked, kayaked, toured, and more!) and beautiful accommodations.  She communicates really well so you feel safe and ready to travel and is really talented at creating community amongst the group.  I love her yoga teaching style... you take that to a place like Lake Atitlan and it is magic.  Life changing, soul changing!  I truly enjoyed every aspect of this adventure - Suzanne, the other attendees, the staff at Villa Sumaya, those Suzanne invited to join who shared their talents (photography, trip advising, and more), an itinerary that allowed for personal space and freedom to explore, the excursions offered (in which Suzanne joined and had already vetted the experience!), and the spiritual journey facilitated.  Not one complaint... I can't wait to plan the next trip with Flow Yoga Adventures!

I am so glad I took this trip, such a great way to decompress, connect with others and spend time with yourself. Each day of the trip was planned well and there was plenty of variety and options. Yoga Adventures in Guatamala

The trip was absolutely incredible.  The perfect blend of planned activities, optional ones, and down time.  Suzanne's yoga classes were truly amazing and inspiring.  Suzanne was also extremely attentive to detail and to each individual's needs as the retreat leader.  I really enjoyed getting to know her and the other amazing yogis I met, I miss them all already.   Villa Sumaya (and Lake Atitlan in general) is gorgeous and magical place to explore, and the food was always fresh and delicious. 

This was one of the best trips I have ever been on, and I have traveled to almost 40 countries! Suzanne's yoga classes were great, the other ceremonies and activities helped us experience the local culture and sights, and the food was AMAZING! I want to go back. 

Suzanne does her research and I always feel safe traveling with her.  I appreciate that Suzanne plans/offers excursions and other activities in addition to yoga as I am an active person and cherish getting out to see the new culture/vibes that surround me.

As a tired momma in desperate need of a getaway, this retreat really hit the spot. The yoga kept me grounded throughout the weekend; the hiking met my need for exercise and adventure, the food was delicious, and the group I went with was a blast. I can't wait to go back next year!  

We had an AMAZING time!  It was the first time I could have my cell phone turned off all weekend.  The area was just beautiful!   The food was excellent.   Thank you for hosting this trip!

The trip was refreshing.  Lots of activities, but not required to do anything.  Suzanne and Jeremy are great leaders and are very relaxed and calm. They made the trip enjoyable and did a great job organizing everything. Would definitely go again! 

If you are looking for leisure and healthy exercise this is the trip for you.  Hot springs and a massage are about as leisurely as one can get juxtaposed against yoga, hikes and any other athletic endeavors a guest might want to engage in!  Food was nourishing and plentiful, accommodations were comfortable and the other guests were interesting and pleasant.  Our hosts (Suzanne and Jeremy) ensured everyone was reaching their potential.  

I loved this trip!!!! Great people, beautiful nature, amazing new adventures! Can’t wait until next year!!!
