Enjoy prayer and recreation time, unparalleled natural beauty, and fun with your fellow “peregrinos” (pilgrims) as you make the trek to El Santuario de Chimayó.
Creatio’s experienced guides will lead you on this pilgrimage both in nature and in spirit. Our guides have been on this route many times; in fact, we helped create it!

In Denver on either ends of the experience timeline. *Creatio may be able to provide some lodging based on team availability, please ask before booking lodging if needed
Day 1
Leave Denver in the afternoon
Arrive in Taos
Dinner and Talk
Day 2 (Walking Day 1)
Walk from Taos to Penasco (18-19 miles)
Also referred to as "the mountain pass day".
This day is the longest day but also the most beautiful day.
Day 3 (Walking Day 2)
Walk from Penasco to Truchas (approx. 17 miles)
Day 4 (Walking Day 3)
Walk from Truchas to Chimayo! (9 miles)
Arrival in Chimayo for 11 am mass
Celebration lunch
Drive to Santa Fe for the night
Day 5
Explore Santa Fe and Departure
We will have one more breakfast as a group and then say goodbyes. Participants are free to explore Santa Fe on their own and depart from Santa Fe airport. Participants may also ride back with the Creatio Missionary Guides to Denver if you are flying out of. or live in Denver. Please book and evening flight as we will be back in Denver in the lmid to ate afternoon.
