Traveling to Ghana offers a wonderful opportunity to experience its rich culture, history, and natural beauty. When packing for Ghana, consider the climate, cultural norms, and your planned activities. Here's a suggested packing list to help you prepare:

Money - Ghanaian Cedis (local currency) and US dollars (for emergencies)- Credit cards (are accepted a limited venues and restaurants) It is highly recommended that you bring US bills of $50 and above for currency exchange. The larger the bill the higher the exchange rate. ATM machines are located at the Airport and several malls within Accra. Our Tour guides are available to assist with any issues related to currency exchange.  

Clothing and Footwear- Lightweight, breathable clothing (cotton or linen)- Comfortable walking shoes or sandals- Hat and sunglasses for sun protection

Enjoy a 1.5 hour session with a knowledge game, chocolate making information and a tasting of seven Adinkra flavors. Attendees get a box with all six unique Adinkra flavors. • Evening: Enjoy a welcome dinner at a restaurant that specializes in cocoa-based dishes, offering a unique introduction to the culinary uses of chocolate.

• Early Morning: Depart for a day trip to a cocoa farm in the Ashanti Region, closer to Accra, to immerse yourself in the cultivation process of cocoa.

• Morning and Afternoon: Engage with local farmers to learn about the lifecycle of cocoa, from planting to harvesting. Experience the process of fermentation and drying of cocoa beans. Upon returning to Accra, participate in a hands-on chocolate-making workshop, where you’ll learn the art of transforming beans into chocolate bars.

• Evening: Spend the evening at leisure, exploring Accra or resting.

• Morning: Visit the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) for an educational experience about cocoa research, sustainability, and innovation in cocoa farming practices.

• Afternoon: Return to Accra and delve into a chocolate tasting session at a local café or chocolate shop, comparing different varieties and understanding flavor profiles.

• Evening: Enjoy dinner on your own or participate in a guided culinary tour featuring Ghanaian cuisine.
