Christmas on the Potomac Gaylord National Resort and Alexandria

Your day will begin in Alexandria, Va where you will experience holiday magic on historic streets in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia and recognized by Oprah Daily as one of the Most Magical Christmas Towns Across the World for three consecutive years since 2019. Feel transported by an old-fashioned sense of holiday wonder with a stroll along the King Street mile, like a real-life Dickens Village, complete with European flair.  Enjoy dinner in  a Colonial Tavern from 1770 with elegant dining rooms and served by staff in Colonial  period dress.  After your colonial Christmas experience you will check in to the Gaylord National Resort. Step in the grand atrium of the Gaylord National to see the lights and snowfall inside the building as well as the nightly “Tree Lighting Show”. You can also enjoy riding the Capital Wheel to take in all the views, or shuttle to MGM and Tanger Outlets.  You will have time to enjoy the ICE Exhibition during your stay at the Gaylord! After  Breakfast Friday morning you can take some time to enjoy the hotel amenities and the National Harbor including MGM and Tanger outlets. Or you may choose to board the bus for some afternoon time visiting the US Botanical Gardens to see amazing poinsettia displays, trains and Christmas exhibits as well as  Smithsonian Museums on your own.  Return to Hotel for dinner on your own at one of the many restaurants in National Harbor or MGM Casino.  After breakfast Saturday morning at the National Harbor Hotel you will depart for home with a stop near Baltimore for an included lunch.  Package includes motor coach transportation, 2 nights at National Gaylord Hotel, 1 dinner, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, admissions, tours, Alexandria, Capital Wheel, ICE Exhibition, Christmas Village, shuttles, driver’s gratuity and leader.
