About this trip

Eastern France is known for having some of the most incredible Christmas markets in the entire world. They have been the masters of this tradition since the 16th century, and continue to wheel out the second largest amount of Christmas markets in all of Europe. At these markets you will be able to find local cultural foods typical of this time of year like mulled wine and Bredele cookies from Alsace, to locally made gift ideas and decorations. All of the cities we will be visiting on this trip have very elaborate Christmas markets and Christmas culture, but also a lot of historical and cultural importance in a general sense as well. We will be flying into Paris, and staying in two hotels; one in Paris and the other in Mulhouse. We will be flying out of Zurich, Switzerland, as it is the nearest airport with direct flights to USA to where we will be staying in Mulhouse.
