Depart on your nonstop flight to New York City! Upon arrival grab your luggage & board your private bus for downtown Manhattan! Head right to the Historic Edison Hotel, where Thomas Edison personally turned on the hotel lights just after it was built in 1931! Enjoy a four night stay at this hotel which is steps from Times Square. After you have checked in, enjoy some free time to ooh & ahh at the lights in Times Square & have some lunch on your own. Early evening join the group for an included dinner at Junior’s Famous Cheesecake Restaurant. Enjoy a sandwich from this famous Deli & of course some included cheesecake!
After an included breakfast, meet in the Lobby of the Edison Hotel for a special guided walking tour of the area. Learn the history of your hotel & then visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center & it’s spectacular Christmas Tree! Then have some time to enjoy lunch & some free time at Rockefeller Center. Maybe try ice skating at the famous plaza? Admire the windows on the shops right across the street on 5th Avenue. Your walking tour ends with a tour to the “Top of The Rock” to view all of New York City laid out below you. This is the best place in New York to view the Empire State Building & Central Park. Then head to Bryant Park to shop their European Outdoor Christmas Market! Continue on to Macy’s in Herald Square where you have an opportunity to shop & even visit with the famous Macy’s Santa if you wish at the traditional 8th Floor Christmas Display! Don’t forget to check out the Macy’s windows on the street decorated for Christmas! Enjoy dinner on your own before heading back to the hotel
Start your day with an included breakfast, a local guide joins us on a luxury small bus guided tour of all of New York City! The sights & sounds of New York City during the holiday season are truly a magical experience! View the Lincoln Center, Grand Central Station and enjoy a stop in Central Park for a short walking tour of the “Imagine” area. Enjoy lunch on your own at Grand Central Station. Then head south viewing the Flatiron building along the way. Learn the difference between SoHo & NoHo. You will then stop at the 9/11 Memorial that remembers the historic event of September 11th, when NYC was attacked by terrorists. Wander the garden like area with its memorial fountains as you view the peaceful fountains & view the “Survivor Tree”. Then depart to tour Trinity Church, where Alexander Hamilton is buried & walk down Wall Street to view the Bull & Defiant Girl Statues that face the New York Stock Market. See where George Washington was sworn in as our 1st President in the oldest section of New York. Drive past Battery Park with a stop to view the magnificent Statue of Liberty! The group will then head to Chinatown to do a little shopping & poking around before heading back to the hotel. This evening is free to explore New York City on your own. Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant or maybe enjoy a Broadway Play. The city is yours to enjoy & Jeanie will have lots of ideas for you on how to do it!
After included breakfast, enjoy some free time. You may want to go shopping or tour the 9/11 Museum which is open today. This afternoon at 2:00 PM you will attend The Radio City Christmas Spectacular®, starring the world-famous Radio City Rockettes®! Debuting in 1933, it is both brilliantly grand & genuinely moving – a glittering combination of old favorites & new delights. Enjoy the flawless precision of 140 people while they sing & dance in the legendary Parade of the Wooden Soldiers. Experience Santa’s magical ride to the North Pole, where life-size rag dolls come to life, & marvel at the stunning reenactment of the first Christmas as the Living Nativity unfolds before us on stage. After the show enjoy an included Farewell Dinner at Ellen’s Stardust Diner right by your hotel. Ellen’s is a retro 1950s theme restaurant & is regarded as one of the best theme restaurants in New York owing to its singing waitstaff. After your diner dinner, it’s time to return to your hotel for your last night in NYC and to pack for home!
After an included breakfast, you will have some time to do some last-minute shopping in the area. Then head to the airport and travel back to the Twin Cities. Welcome Home!
