We went on a trek towards EBC with Nepal Social treks. Overall it was a great experience in spite of the unpredictable weather and the uncertainties! Everyone in Nepal Social trek strived to make it so. Right from the booking phase, Basu was helpful and responsive to provide information about the trek and the multiple alterations we asked for. Our flight to Lukla was delayed due to the weather and Basu Ji not only managed to extend accommodation at WoodApple but went ahead and arranged a car for sightseeing during our days of waiting at Kathmandu. We had booked an independent guide (Kamal Ji) who greeted us at the hotel in Kathmandu - and played the role of the ideal "guide" from day one - from doing a quick gear check to helping with purchasing good down jackets at a reasonable rate and getting currency exchanged. After The two days extended stay at Kathmandu, Basu Ji managed to make up for the dullness of the delay with an unexpected helicopter experience! All the turmoil of the delays was managed without any complications coming towards us (and I am sure there were many of those - engaging with the flights, cancelling tickets, booking hotels etc.) Our experience with Kamal Ji (our Guide) was extraordinary as well. Our climb to Namche was tough and we were tired, with slight altitude sickness and cloudy weather. Kamal Ji was encouraging and asked us to rest. He was open to adjusting the itinerary to suit our capacities. He worked with the aim of giving us the best experience on the trek and helping us see the best views we could, albeit in bad weather. He has extensive experience and is well-versed in the area. His pleasant nature and interesting stories made our walk enjoyable. After a day's rest, we planned to move to Khanjuma next to get better views instead of Tengbouche as originally planned, but some rest, Diamox and Lemon tea gave us enough energy and to make it all the way to Tengbouche as planned. The next morning, we were blessed with fantastic views at Tengboche (surrounded by Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Themsarpku). Kamal Ji was always there even in the early hours (4 AM) telling us about which peak is which! We were lucky to find such splendid views at the onset of the monsoon. Aditya (our porter) is a superstar and his calm disposition complimented his speed and strength. He always beat us to our destination by a good 4-5 hours. Special call out to the staff at Woodapple hotel, who made our start and end of the journey so comfortable. Highly recommend WoodApple. Overall, our experience with everybody from Nepal Social trek was amazing and we will definitely be back to complete the trek with Basu, Kamal and Aditya. Kudos to the Nepal social treks team! It was quite apparent that they didn't just "somehow manage" to organize the trek but each and everyone on the team excelled and obsessed over making this a pleasurable experience for us! Thank you!

Absolutely perfect organisation ! I did everything with Nepal Social Treks. A 14 days trekking to EBC via Gokyo, a Safari in Chitwan, a visit to Lumbini, a visit to Bakhtapur and a stay in Pokhara with rafting, Bungee jumping and paragliding. Basu was the best organizer I ever had and I travel a lot. Very individualized problem solving. Very nice person. My travel was extraordinary and easy thanks to Basu's efficiency ! If I come back to Nepal I 100% will book with him again. I highly recommend him ! A big thanks again and greetings to beautiful Katmandou !

We could not recommend Nepal Social Treks and Expedition more. Logistically, the team sorted out every detail of the trek for us, we had nothing to organise or worry about from the time we arrived in Kathmandu - from the pick-up at the airport (even at 11pm, after a nine hour delay), to our stay in Kathmandu, food & accommodation on the trek, flights to lukla, national park permits and everything in between. But what really makes this company special is its people. This was the most knowledgeable, experienced, supportive and caring team - we felt we were in the company of not of our 'tour operator' but our friends and family. Achyut (our guide) was so personally invested in making sure that we had a great and safe trek - he tailored our trip to take into account our physical limitations (severe altitude sickness and a knee injury), constantly reassured us with his knowledge and held our hands (sometimes literally) through any difficulties we were facing. Birman and June (our two porters) were similarly kind, patient and capable, giving us confidence that we were in safe hands for the length of our trek. When we arrived back in Kathmandu, despite having finished our trek, Basu (our tour organiser) was always at the end of a call for any query we had and checked in frequently to make sure we were doing okay. If you're looking for a team which is not only faultlessly reliable and experienced, but which is genuinely invested in your well-being and treats you like family, this is the company to book with. 11/10 experience, we'll be back! We had a great time, our guides were very good and looked after us very well. Perhaps a more detailed plan of the walk would be useful to have in advance but otherwise very good.
