About your trip

Dates: June 16 - June 28, 2024 (Summer 2024)

Faculty Lead: Dr. Nevin Aiken (naiken@uwyo.edu)

Participants will join students from the University of Wyoming and other universities across the US and UK to receive direct exposure to the people, politics and realities of the Northern Ireland conflict and its evolving peace process as they transit between the difficult and contested geographies of Northern Ireland as well as the Republic of Ireland. As a unique part of their experiential learning program, students will actively engage with politicians, community leaders, non-governmental organizations, faith leaders, academic experts and victims/survivors from all sides impacted by the conflict to hear a comprehensive view of the divergent perspectives, narratives and human stories of people dealing with legacies of past violence in Northern Ireland.
