About this trip

Somewhere along the way, most of us stopped playing dress-up. We traded cloaks, twirly dresses and tiaras for business casual and calendars full of other people's plans. But some part of us never forgot what it felt like to become someone else for a day: braver, bolder, and a little more magical than the ordinary world usually allows.

The Cinder Realm is a four-day, three-night immersive gathering at Jenne Farm on Ebey's Prairie in Coupeville, Washington, timed to the opening weekend of the Whidbey Renaissance Faire. This isn't a costume contest, and you don't need to know a single thing about the Renaissance. It's a small circle of women who are ready to dress up, eat well, have some fun crafting and connecting.

We’ll settle into our enchanted farmhouse, gather around a long table for a Feast of Welcome and discover the four chambers of the Realm: Dragon’s Hearth, Moonlit Sea, Wildwood Grove and Whisperwind Hall.

We'll make Hawk's Tail brooms by hand, create flower crowns of fresh flowers, and have a tasting a a local meadery. Then we'll dress in our finest and spend a full day at the Faire, with jousting, falconry, fire performers, wandering bards, artisans, and all the delightful chaos of a Renaissance Faire.

Back at the farm, there will be good food, a wood-fired sauna, fireside conversation and time to simply be.

This retreat is for the women who never quite outgrew the fairy tales. For the ones who own a cloak "just in case." For the ones who can quote The Princess Bride from start to finish. For the ones who've always wanted to go to the Faire but never had the right people to go with. First-timer or seasoned Faire-goer, full garb collection or not a single stitch: you belong here.

Four days. Three nights. One enchanted farm, and a realm waiting just for you. Come as you are.

About your organizer

Community has always been what holds me together. As someone who has navigated the weight of a full life - demanding career, single parenthood, the constant pull of doing and achieving , I know firsthand how rarely we give ourselves permission to simply be.

When I moved to Whidbey Island, I felt something I hadn't expected: a resounding sigh of relief. The island slowed me down and brought me back to myself, and I've spent the years since learning how to create that feeling intentionally through ritual, creative work, and gathering women together in spaces that feel genuinely safe and a little magical.

My purpose as a host is simple; to create a space where you can put the weight of life down, remember who you are, and find others to support and celebrate you. Every retreat I design is built around that intention. My goal is that you leave with a renewed sense of self, new friendships that feel like they were always meant to be, and magic you can carry back into your everyday life.
