We are especially grateful because one of the members of our group was able to catch the bus in Ollantaytambo and be together again. That it was possible when the company opened for this.

This Machupicchu package tour is a must do. It includes van trip to hidroelectrica with lunch, followed by an 11km hike to Aguas calientes and dinner + Hotel for the one night in Aguas Calientes, the next day you get a bus ride up to Machupicchu with a private guide that gives you an early tour for about 3 hours. At that point you come down Machupicchu by foot (40min of stairs), or you can pay 12usd for the bus down. From there walk 11km to Hidroelectrica to catch the bus back to Cusco. It was a comfortable trip. The bus mad made a scheduled stop at a roadside diner/store that was really good. The rest of the trip went smoothly.
