      Itinerary

      Day 1: Ripley
Columbus, OH to Ripley, OH and on to Atlanta, GA

This is a great place for our first stop on the Tour. Why? Because this Ohio port city had living examples of Black and White people working together for the freedom and prosperity of all.

Day #1 of our Civil Rights Heritage Tour in Ripley, Ohio, explores the historic John Parker House and Rankin House. Visit the home of John Parker, an African American conductor on the Underground Railroad, where his courageous efforts in helping enslaved individuals gain freedom come to life. Next, venture to the Rankin House, once owned by Presbyterian minister and abolitionist John Rankin, known for his commitment to aiding freedom seekers. Delve into the rich stories and history embedded in these houses, offering a profound glimpse into the Underground Railroad's impact on the fight for freedom and equality.

I truly enjoyed myself and this tour. I have taken so much from this tour and encouraged others to come on this tour to learn more about civil rights that are not learned without doing your own research.

I had a wonderful time. Enjoyed meeting new people. I learned so much at both museums particularly the Holocaust Museum. I’m still searching for truths regarding that experience. The food was awesome especially at Hell’s Kitchen!! Thank you for allowing me to attend!
