This is a great place for our first stop on the Tour. Why? Because this Ohio port city had living examples of Black and White people working together for the freedom and prosperity of all. 

 Day #1 of our Civil Rights Heritage Tour in Ripley, Ohio, explores the historic John Parker House and Rankin House. Visit the home of John Parker, an African American conductor on the Underground Railroad, where his courageous efforts in helping enslaved individuals gain freedom come to life. Next, venture to the Rankin House, once owned by Presbyterian minister and abolitionist John Rankin, known for his commitment to aiding freedom seekers.  On Day #2, our journey takes us to the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, where you'll step into the world of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Explore his home, stroll through his neighborhood, and pay your respects at his tomb, immersing yourself in the legacy of this iconic civil rights leader. Later, the tour ventures to Tuskegee, Alabama, where history comes alive at the Tuskegee Airmen Museum. Discover the profound legacies of Booker T. At this point, we will be more than halfway through the Tour.  Day #4 of the Civil Rights Heritage Tour of the South! Today, we immerse ourselves in the poignant history of Birmingham, Alabama, also known as "Bombingham." Prepare for a journey through time at the 16th Street Baptist Church, a symbol of both tragedy and resilience during the Civil Rights Movement. The Birmingham Civil Rights Museum awaits, offering a comprehensive exploration of the struggle for civil rights. Conclude your day at Kelly Ingram Memorial Park, where powerful sculptures and memorials tell the story of those who fought for justice. In Memphis, Tennessee, we'll delve into the rich history of the Civil Rights Movement at the Lorraine Motel and the National Civil Rights Museum. Experience the powerful narratives that unfolded in these pivotal locations. As the day transitions into night, we'll journey to the vibrant city of Louisville, Kentucky, offering a unique blend of culture and history. Day #6 is the FINAL DAY of the Civil Rights Heritage Tour of the South! Today, our journey takes us to Louisville, Kentucky, where we'll delve into the remarkable life of Muhammad Ali at the Muhammad Ali Center. Following this insightful visit, you'll have the opportunity to explore the historic downtown of Louisville. After a delightful lunch, we'll head back to Columbus, Ohio, carrying with us not just memories of historic sites but also the bonds and knowledge gained during this transformative experience.
