About this trip

Close your eyes. Imagine waking up in one of the most remote areas of Thailand, surrounded by the sounds, smells, and natural beauty of the jungle. You've arrived at one of the most ideal environments on the planet for uncovering clarity.

Together, we'll unplug, unwind, and use these eight days to reconnect with our truth. Find the clarity that has been clouded by the demands of life, work, family, and beyond. Break old patterns, interrupt the mundane, and find the inner confidence and truth that lives within.

Through a thoughtfully personalized schedule of yoga, meditation, breathwork, bodywork, delicious food, excursions, and an abundance of nature, we'll journey together back to our truest selves. You'll be part of a small group with trained guides there to support you along each step of the journey. So whether you're going through a life transition or are simply craving clarity and the time to reconnect with yourself, this retreat is for you.

Please thoroughly read the paragraphs and photos below to get the full picture. If you still have questions, we encourage you to contact us directly.

Namaste :)

What Clarity2020 is...

The program schedule is layered with physical, emotional, and spiritual activities for turning inward. Through a system of yoga, breathwork, bodywork, reflection, and of course amazing Thai food, you’ll uncover your true nature. Without the distraction of your phone, your inbox, and the drudgeries of daily life, you’ll find the space to see what lies within. Fear not, it's beautiful in there.

What Clarity2020 is not...

This is not your average retreat. This is not sitting back, drinking Mai Thais, while gossiping about the upcoming election. This is not for the faint of heart. This is not for the bystander, the fly on the wall. This is for the individual who wants to dive deep and do the work of uncovering their innermost self.

The Venue

The Praiwan Raft House, aka Jungle Yoga, is a unique location for a yoga retreat - a floating jungle raft house set in a 160-million year old rainforest. We are surrounded by breathtaking limestone outcrops that stretch from Guilin to Borneo and while at Jungle Yoga we’ll be fringed by one of the most biodiverse tropical evergreen forests on earth.  The water we float atop is fresh and deep with no critters, no mosquitos, perfect for taking a dip at any time of the day.

There is no cellular reception at Jungle Yoga so plan accordingly to be off the grid for the duration of the retreat. There will be opportunities in the evening to charge devices, though don't rely on them. While we won't require that you turn your cell phone in at the beginning, we will give you the option in the interest of fully unplugging.

One cannot visit Jungle Yoga unless they are participating in a retreat. Clarity2020 has been working closely with the venue staff for months to make this a special experience.

Getting to Jungle Yoga

Yes, Jungle Yoga is remote,  but we make getting there a breeze by air, land, and sea. Well, not the actual sea, but a large body of water. Your travel will look something like this:

- Fly into Bangkok (BKK)

- Hop on a short flight (1 hr) to Surat Thani (URT)

- We’ll meet as a group during one of two meeting times

- Airport transfer by private van with AC one hour to the Khao Sok National Forest entrance

- 30 minute boat transfer to our final destination, Jungle Yoga!

Yoga + Meditation + Massage

Yoga is going to be our foundational practice of the retreat. Some yoga experience is nice to have, but not necessary. We’ll start our days with Hatha (Ha-Tuh) yoga as a way to prepare ourselves for the breathwork and meditation that will follow. The goal of yoga is to work our way inwards, to calm the mind, and give ourselves the space to meditate.

We’ll be experiencing a variety of different meditations: shamata, or single-pointed awareness, active meditation where we’ll be moving our bodies before finding stillness, kundalini meditation where we’ll be cultivating our innermost energetic vitality, and dynamic meditation, a five-stage process to shake our conditions and realign with our consciousness.

Massage is the cherry on top. You've done the hard work of maintaining a disciplined yoga and meditation practice. Enter Thai massage. Professional massage therapists with a lifetime of experience live on the raft with us at Jungle Yoga and will relieve the body of any tension that's still holding on. Each participant will be guaranteed one full body Thai massage. Additional massages will be available for purchase.

About Your Hosts

Ravi Rothenberg

Ravi has been practicing yoga for the past seven years. He initially made his way to the mat to heal and open the body from a lifetime of injuries, mostly sports related. He quickly found the spiritual benefits of the practice and hasn't turned back. Professionally, he has spent much of his career in tech where he organized weekend long events (retreats) for aspiring entrepreneurs. In three years he supported over 400 programs across the U.S. and Canada. Since leaving the tech world he dove deep into personal and spiritual development, spending two months in India where he completed his 200hr Yoga Teacher Training, visited with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, participated in a 10-day silent meditation retreat and intro to Buddhism, and a five-day Osho Reclaiming Inner Child program. Since returning to the states Ravi has continued to expand his education, attending the Earth and Water Elements training within Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy, bringing a skillful awareness to supporting those seeking safety on their mats. Additionally, Ravi has been to a yoga retreat at Jungle Yoga! He knows the venue, the staff, and the culture, and is excited to share the magic with you. Ravi is dedicating his future to creating transformational experiences in a container of wellness, connection, courage, and self exploration.

Tunde Borrego

Tunde is a longtime yoga instructor at all of the Corepower locations in Boulder, Colorado (there are three). She's taught over 5,000 classes and brings an upbeat playfulness to everything she does. She encourages her students to get upside down and try something new, while stressing the importance of not taking themselves so seriously. Tunde is all about practice and finding balance, making her an excellent teacher for this retreat. We'll practice hard but also find balance in the yoga sala on the floating raft, both from within and from being upside down. Tunde has led yoga retreats in the Caribbean and is excited to play in a new corner of the planet!

Ravi & Tunde

Ravi was a student of Tunde's years ago in Boulder, Colorado, and their relationship has blossomed into a beautiful friendship. They still enjoy practicing yoga together but also meet regularly for early morning sunrise hikes where they talk about life, and love, and, you guessed it, yoga. The chance to collaborate in a faraway land is a dream come true. They're looking forward to transforming alongside you!
