The facial technician is quite kind and personable, which adds to the overall experience. However, some additional formal training could enhance her skills further. The full facial, priced at $75 USD and $105 CAD, involves several important steps. When customers feel appreciated for their investment, especially in the realm of beauty care, it contributes significantly to their satisfaction. Here is a Step-by-Step Facial (60 minutes) we get typically for that price. 1-Skin Consultation Brief discussion of your skin type, concerns (dryness, acne, sensitivity, aging) Review of allergies or sensitivities 2-First Cleanse Gentle cleanser to remove makeup, sunscreen, oil, and surface debris 3- Second Cleanse Deeper cleanse suited to your skin type to prep the skin for treatment 4- Exfoliation Mild physical scrub or enzyme exfoliant Removes dead skin cells and improves texture 5 - Steam or Warm Towels Softens skin and helps open pores May be skipped if you have rosacea or very sensitive skin Extractions (Light to Moderate) Removal of blackheads and whiteheads (if needed and tolerated) 6- Soothing or Corrective Mask Customized: hydrating, clarifying, calming, or brightening Left on for 10–15 minutes 7 - Facial Massage (Short) Light massage of face, neck, and shoulders Helps circulation and relaxation 8 - Toner / Essence Balances skin and prepares for serums 9- Serum Application Targeted serum (hydration, calming, or light anti-aging) 10- Moisturizer Seals in hydration and supports the skin barrier SPF (Daytime Appointments) Sun protection to finish the treatment

My time at Pacha Munay Wellness was truly transformative. From the moment I arrived, I felt held — by the land, the energy of the Sacred Valley, and most especially by the incredible staff who take such genuine, loving care of you throughout your stay. The retreat is set in the Andes, surrounded by breathtaking mountains and lush gardens filled with flowers, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Each day felt alive in the most peaceful way — mornings with birdsong, afternoons watching hummingbirds dart through the garden, and quiet moments where nature seemed to gently slow everything down. Simply being there felt healing. The accommodations are warm, comfortable, and grounding — simple yet thoughtfully cared for. It feels less like a hotel and more like being welcomed into a peaceful home, which made it easy to relax and truly settle in. What truly sets Pacha Munay apart is the staff. They are attentive without being intrusive, kind, intuitive, and deeply present. I felt genuinely seen and supported every single day — through nourishing meals prepared with love, thoughtful check-ins, and small gestures that made a big difference. Their care goes far beyond logistics; it feels heartfelt and human. The wellness offerings are beautifully balanced — yoga, meditation, sauna and cold therapy, time in nature, and space for rest and reflection. There are also meaningful cultural excursions woven into the experience, offering a deeper connection to Peru and the Sacred Valley. Visiting local sites, engaging with Andean traditions, and learning about the culture added richness and perspective that made the retreat feel both grounding and expansive. The food was another highlight — clean, nourishing, and delicious, using fresh, local ingredients. Every meal felt intentional and supportive, leaving me feeling lighter, energized, and deeply nourished. By the time I left, I felt rested, emotionally clearer, and genuinely renewed. Pacha Munay isn’t just a wellness retreat — it’s a place where nature, culture, and compassionate care come together to support real healing. If you’re seeking stillness, connection, and a sense of being truly cared for, I can’t recommend it enough. ✨ I arrived needing rest and left feeling whole. ✨

When visiting a retreat like Pacha Munay, it's essential to assess how much support you are ready to receive and to understand the overall mission. I arrived at Pacha Munay seeking some much-needed rest, as I currently lack an established support system in my daily life. I truly appreciated the staff's assistance, particularly Pamela and Narmita, who worked to ensure my stay was comfortable. I acknowledge that I did not inquire about my schedule prior to my arrival, which may have limited my options. However, when I decided on short notice to visit Machu Picchu, Pamela worked diligently to arrange all the necessary bookings for me. I would like to share a few friendly suggestions for improvement: - The cost of facials could be reconsidered, as it may be higher than expected, and the technician might benefit from additional professional training in this area. - It would be helpful to have staff available to assist guests with heavy luggage. - Providing details about menu items and sharing the menu as a gift could enhance the guest experience, allowing them to continue this journey at home. - Including options for an evening trip to Cusco as part of the package could add value to the experience. - Clarity about amenities, such as hot springs and waterfalls, would be appreciated, as I initially believed both were included. - Incorporating a variety of exercise options alongside yoga could appeal to a broader range of guests. Additionally, I would warmly suggest considering the following activities for future retreats: - Guided meditation and visualization sessions - Breathwork options, both gentle and advanced - Sound healing practices featuring crystal bowls, gongs, or drums - Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation and nervous system reset - Gratitude rituals for Pachamama (Mother Earth) - Heart-opening cacao ceremonies - Full and new moon intention rituals - Fire-release or water-cleansing ceremonies - Reiki or energy healing sessions - Chakra balancing and aura cleansing - Somatic movement and nervous system regulation - Cold plunge experiences with breath coaching - Infrared sauna or herbal steam options - Embodiment dance or intuitive movement sessions - Nature walks and grounding hikes - Mindful cooking or herbal workshops - Tea ceremonies and slow-living practices Thank you for considering these suggestions, and I look forward to seeing how Pacha Munay continues to evolve and enhance its offerings for guests.

10000/10 if I could even give this experience a number. The journey from Cusco to Urubamba takes quite a while, but it is all worth it once you set foot on that beautiful piece of land. The accomodation is wonderful and the food delicious. I had a beyond amazing time awakening my spirituality and dive deep into my problems. It was a highlight in my three week trip around all of Peru. All the woman working there are just kind wonderful human beings. Especially Pam, the hotel manager 😍 My only wish was to stay even longer or come back ❤️ Yours, Katja
