Cobb Middle School will embark on a 6-day trip to our nation's capital, Washington DC, the week of March 6th - 11th, 2023. We hope you will be able to join us!

DAY 1 MON-03/06
4:30am Group meets motorcoaches at school. 5:00am Depart. Fastfood breakfast stop in Baldwin, FL. Rest stop at the GA Welcome Center. Rest stop at the SC Welcome Center w/picnic lunch stop in Santee, SC. (Group should plan to purchase breakfast on their own and bring a bag lunch on this day . All other meals are included in the tour price.) Rest stop at the NC Welcome Center. Fastfood-dinner stop in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Continue travel to Woodbridge, VA for hotel check-in at Holiday Inn Express. Meet ET Rep. {HOTEL #703/576-1600}
DAY 1 MON-03/07
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet City Guides. Group Photo at the Grant Memorial. See the U.S. Capitol, the Library of Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court buildings from the plaza level of the Capitol. City/Memorials touring. Box lunch. Tour the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Tour Mount Vernon. Return trans to Washington traveling through Old-town Alexandria, VA. Dinner/Dance Cruise on the Potomac River. Return to the hotel.
City/Memorials touring includes: the MLK Jr Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial
DAY 3 WED-03/08
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet City Guides. City/Memorials touring. Tour the Washington National Cathedral. See Embassy Row. Tour National Archives. Lunch at area foodourt. City/Memorials touring. Tour the Smithsonian Museum of African American History & Culture. City/Memorials touring. Dinner at Bahama Breeze-Woodbridge. Return to the hotel.
City/Memorials touring includes: the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Korean & Vietnam Veterans Memorials, the Lincoln Memorial
DAY 4 THU-03/09
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet City Guides. Tour Arlington National Cemetery. Visit the Kennedy Gravesites and witness the Changing of the Guard at the Tombs of the Unknown Soldiers followed by a Wreath Laying Ceremony. City/Memorials touring. Lunch at area foodcourt. Tour the International Spy Museum. City/Memorials touring. Dinner at Potomac Mills Outlet Mall foodcourt with brief time for browsing. Return to the hotel to pack for morning check-out.
City/Memorials touring includes: the Eisenhower Memorial, picture stop at the White House, brief time for souvenir shopping on F Street
DAY 5 FRI-03/10
Breakfast at the hotel. Load luggage/hotel check-out. Depart. Group orientation on the National Mall. Tour the Smithsonian Museums: Air & Space, American History, Natural History, etc w/boxed lunch on the National Mall. Continue museums touring. 4:30pm Depart Washington from the American History Museum. Dinner at Golden Corral-Fredericksburg, VA. Depart. Brief stop at the NC Welcome Center. Continue travel throughout the night w/appropriate rest stops en route.
DAY 6 SAT-03/11
Arrive at school around 8:00am.
