To travel by canoe to Cocaya in the Ecuadorian Amazon is to immerse yourself in a world of natural wonders. Navigating the meandering rivers takes you through a changing landscape of dense vegetation, where the rainforest reveals its diversity and mystery. Cocaya, with its tranquil atmosphere and wildlife-filled surroundings, offers the opportunity to explore the richness of Amazonian flora and fauna. After traveling by bus directly to the Cuyabeno Bridge, we will transfer by motorized canoe to our Lodge for breakfast and rest, after lunch we will take a short acclimatization hike along the Ceibos trail. On the way back we will get our tents and other logistics ready for our canoe trip. We will continue on our journey until we reach the Laguna Grande; It is the natural habitat of several species of animals, such as pink and gray dolphins, river turtles, and the elusive anaconda. And we will continue our journey through the Cuyabeno, until we reach the Siona community in Puerto Bolívar where we will camp.
