Buritaca is a small, bohemian, rustic coastal town in northern Colombia near Santa Marta, renowned for where the freshwater Buritaca River meets the Caribbean Sea.

This is a place teeming with diverse flora and fauna, crisscrossed by rivers flowing from

snow-capped peaks, and inhabited by indigenous peoples such as the Kogi, Wiwa &

Arhuaco. It is precisely these cultures that are entrusted with maintaining the harmony of

the spiritual universe, and in their mission, they have chosen to share their ancestral

wisdom with those who decide to venture into this magical territory.

Enjoy 6 nights and 7 days at the foothills of the impressive and magical Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the world’s highest Coastal Mountain Range. This area is referred to as the Heart of the World, not only because of it’s geographical location, but more importantly because every single ecosystem exists and thrives in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Start your morning with a meditation, walk on the beach, or a cup of coffee and a book. Daily yoga 2x's a day in an open-aired yoga shala literally on the beach! (Mats & props provided), gourmet farm-sea to table meals, , oceanside Spa & Wellness Center , waterfall hikes, and more! Most importantly, connect with an  amazing group of like-minded people.  There will be a daily schedule of activities that you can do as much or as little as you want!

YOGA

We will start our days with a power yoga class then a late afternoon flow  & restore, meditation or group activity with Shawna. Yoga is located  in a stunning open-air shala on the beach! Mats, props, bolsters and straps provided.

FOOD

Gitana del Mar kitchen works with the local fishermen of the area to bring whatever is fresh straight to your plate. This sea to table approach combines healthy ingredients together in a coastal themed, fusion-style menu with Colombian, Latin and Asian flavors. Their ever-evolving selection is a unique combination of the traditional dishes and flavors from Colombia along with other recipes from around the world.

Gitana del Mar's beach spa, under the shade of the tropical forest, creates the right

environment for relaxation and disconnection. They offer relaxing, deep, Thai and exfoliating massages as well as kind massage and reiki.

Waterfall hikes, ceremonies, day tours, horseback riding and much more! I have planned a few of the tours that are included in the price but you will have the option to sign up for other tours at your cost if interested.
